I got that email today as well. When I clicked on "learn more", it took me to a screen with offers of earning 100 miles, 250 miles, and 500 miles for various things. It took just a few minutes to sign up for the 3 offers.
I thought the small print for the 500 miles bonus was kind of funny:
"Subscribe to Continental E-mails and Get 500 Bonus Miles Offer valid for OnePass members that are not currently receiving the OnePass Online Statement or the News & Offers e-mail. Once subscribed, members must be suppressed for 60 days before they are eligible to receive the mileage bonus."
Obviously they meant that members must be subscribed (or some other word) for 60 days, not "suppressed", although the entire airline customer experience these days creates a feeling of being suppressed, compressed, depressed, stressed, you name it.

I just wanted to emphasize this requirement. It's been proven in the past that if you don't hold a card with them, you won't get the miles.

Yeah - I've registered in the past for other similar promotions and never got any credit for them...

It sucks that they won't credit the miles to an account that doesn't exist. Sticklers.
