My wife and I are going on a European cruise leaving Copenhagen on 5/13; we are arriving on 5/8 and need a good reasonably priced hotel for 4 nights in a not so noisy area but still close to attractions. Any recommendations? Any specific websites I should check out?
As you may read on Cruise Critic boards (link posted by DSJ), some have had luck with Priceline where they've bid and won the Marriott. Ensure you understand Priceline before bidding. Plenty of places on the web that provide information about Priceline.
I was only in Copenhagen last summer on a cruise, we only had one day in Copenhagen. I wished I could have been there in the evening to see the lights at the Tivoli. The Tivoli has a Wagamam - a really good and reasonably priced restaurant where I frequently have asian-inspiried noodle dishes.
Be prepared - food was very expensive in Copenhagen. Depending on your circumstance, you could also visit other places in Europe. There were very reasonable flights between London and Copenhagen so I suspect other reasonable flights might exist to other cities.
I've stayed at the Copenhagen Hilton Airport hotel a few times and it is quiet, believe it or not. The train is right there and it takes you into town quickly. It is actually connected to the airport so while that may not sound terrific, there are some decent amenities in that airport, such as a Starbucks, and the trains.
I can understand if you don't want to do that, of course but wanted to vouch for it as a comfortable and, for me, convenient place to stay.
From there we went into Copenhagen and saw all the sights we wanted to see, including the statue of the Little Mermaid, Tivoli Gardens (more hype than entertainment to my mind but it is a landmark so I suppose I'm glad I saw it, walked endlessly, window shopped. We even took a day trip by train to see Hamlet's Castle, Elsinore (actually Kornborg Castle) in Helsingor.
I, too, am providing much more than you asked but hopefully it is helpful.
The statue of the little mermaid may top my list of overrated tourist attractions anywhere. The statue is small and inconvienently located. However, you'll have a hard time avoiding it. I can recommend taking a canal tour and that will undoubtedly go past the statue.
In true FW style, go past the first canal tour company you come to - the ones at the very end of the canal. Instead, go down the canal to the right about 100 yards to the second canal tour company. The tours are pretty much identical but the second company charges significantly less.
For another way to eat a bit more reasonably, try the top floor of the large department store near the canal tours. They have a cafeteria with decent food - the open face shrimp sandwich was good. They'll give you free WiFi if you stop in the adjacent customer service area and ask for a code. McDonalds also has free wifi if you're looking....

On both of my visits to Copenhagen, we stayed at the Cab Inn.( http://www.cabinn.com/english/kbh/city/city.html ) The rooms are tiny & clean and it is probably the best price you will find in Copenhagen. It is a two minute walk to the train station and breakfast is included. You can walk to many sites from the hotel too.
The Little Mermaid statue is tiny and in an odd place but it is still great to see.

We stayed at the Marriott. It's a little removed from the center of town, but easily walkable and quiet. If you can get on the concierge floor, you can get heavy hors d'oevres in the early evening for free. Also, they let you drink all the beer, wine, etc. you want for free. We used points, so our cost was $0. Food in Copenhagen was really expensive - $15 for a draft beer in a brew pub. Good luck.
