For those of us who collect Hilton Hhonors points, looking for a better Las Vegas option - Hilton will be taking over property adjacent to Planet Hollywood, effective March 1.

The web site does not yet offer Hhonors Points reservations, I called Hhonors reservations who confirmed that they are not yet available, should be released toward the end of February. As it is shown as a "Grand Vacations" property, studios should go for 35k points per night - not bad for the prime location.

The picture looks like it's the Planet Hollywood Westgate building.

Agreed. I put a similar post in the Hhonors forum on Flyertalk, respondent claims that the Hilton Timeshare Division bought 1200 rooms, will take them quite a while to sell, should be plenty available to rent for the foreseeable future.

I am currently staying at the PH Towers by Westgate on an Interval International timeshare exchange. It was a difficult process confirming my reservation with the change to new ownership/management. A letter to guests mentioned that beginning February 2nd, the property would be rebranding itself and the PH towers sign would be coming down and the locks would be rekeyed.

Thank you for the heads-up. I wonder if there are daily "resort fees" per room per day???

well, its a good start, but just tested a couple of my travel dates and they're not pricing out cheap...i miss the $38 vegas hilton nights!

Why is it so expensive? I can get PH over spring break weekend for under ~$75 but Elara is like $200 a night. I don't get it.

Hopefully there'll be better casino rates offered with a players club card. Probably wouldn't stack with HHonors though.

ETA: After looking again, I guess there is no casino.

Appears that Elara has dropped their rates. Currently shows $129 per night on the Hilton site for a studio, with a double Hilton points promotion. I ended up booking 3 nights (including a weekend) in May for $103.20 per night on the Hilton MVP site www.hiltonfamilymvp.com. NO RESORT FEES. Grand Vacations properties do not provide free breakfast for Hhonors Diamond and Gold, but you still get free internet.

Still no option to book a room with Hilton points
