I'm trying to transfer my United miles to Continental to take advantage of much better options (more flights, less miles), but seem to be unable to do this. The website for the transfers isn't working and customer service has failed to get back to me with an answer.
Does anyone know if this is still an option or is it over as part of the merger?

Thanks for the help.
I was able to do so online a few days ago. I think you have until the end of this month.

Yes I did exactly that about a week ago to book award travel on Continental. I didn't have a Continental Onepass Acct so I created that first, then linked them, then transferred MP miles to Onepass, then booked my flights. Even with all the changes, I accomplished it all within about 40 minutes (could have been quicker if I waited on the confirmation emails, but I went off to do other things).
Good luck!

Make sure your name is identical on both accounts to link. Otherwise need to call customer service to change. One account had my middle initial, other didn't.

You can extend your miles by a month or two. United miles expire after 18 months of no activity on your account where Continental doesn't have a restriction. If you transfer all your United miles now, when they automatically transfer back you would have reset the expiration clock.
