Airport Lounges/Promo, any have free offers??

Thanks, ya right now I would not use it, but due to some up coming changes with work I may be spending extra time around airports. How do you guys like the lounges? How are the food options?

Have you ever seen airline employees use them, such as pilots or flight attendants when done with duty?

I get free access to the Delta lounge with the Delta reserve card (when flying delta)
I cannot see the value
Some of the international ones (and LAX) have showers, and that is nice after a long run to NRT, but I cannot see paying $27 for it.
I have never seen one with a nap room or quiet enough to nap in.
The food is OK but not very filling. I still find myself going to McDonalds or Pizza
Make friends with someone on your flight and ask them to let you in as their guest to check them out.
Unless you are a heavy drinker I cannot see it being worth the money to get a coke and a bagel and their slow wifi.
I sit too long on a plane so I enjoy exploring a new airport, and I am willing to bet that you can find a quieter spot to work than the lounge, if you look for it.

Nope. Just show the pass.

AMEX platinum gets u into us airways, delta and aa lounges. For other/international lounges AMEX plat also gives priority pass....
Lounges itself are ok....gone are the days of hot food....pretzels/cookies/chips and soda/cofee is what we get....
Why need them? Eg..if you need to be in a telecon and are travelling...u have no other option but a lounge....
Also u will feel more relaxed at the end of the day.

Apply the AMEX plat with their bonus offer - their bonus rewards points and the 200 dollar airline incidentals should cover the 450 dollar annual fee.

Thanks, do you know what an airline lounge normally charges yearly?Varies by Airline, status, and other factors.

You need to check the individual websites or call.

American runs around $500 depending on status.

Go online apply for the Priority Pass and you will get it in a couple of weeks. I don't remember, but you may get a temporary ID when you apply online.

So what's the good of priority traveller by the way, any use?

No airline permits crew or employees to use customer lounges.

Otherwise they would all buy memberships because of all the time they spend in airports. There are on-duty crew lounges which are more like breakrooms.

Who doesn't want to travel around the world without upsetting their budget? As soon as you start planning a vacation with your family and friends, a lot of expenses need to be looked at: hotel accommodation, to and fro transportation, sightseeing, tour guide's assistance and many other facilities.
