If you are going in June, you better hurry and purchase your tickets via reliable sources. The prices just went up 5/20/12. Go to Mousesavers and purchase via ARES Travel. You don't save a ton over purchasing at the gate, but you at least will avoid the substantial ticket price increase.

They have a CA resident deal going on now. Feel free to use my zip on their website...90036. I have never seen them check IDs at the gate.

any one else confirm this ? mousesavers says they do
I even have relatives in Anaheim that could buy the tickets for me/ use their address.. but don't want to get stuck @ gates w/o recourse either?
Is the deal that good?

The local person can buy your tickets in person at the front of the park, that is the only time I've ever seen ID checked. People may assume they are just checking your name on your cc but this is actually when they make sure you are in a qualified zip code. Online orders are vouchers and they check when you activate them the first day about 50% of the time.
Check Mousesavers.com her info is good. There may be other discounts or they might take your discharge papers as military ID. Sometimes Costco has SoCal Play 3 days tickets and I've not had ID checked for those. Only a really on their toes CM would know the fine print says SoCal residents only, if you tried them and got denied I'd try the 'clueless' defense.

Deal used to be good enough that I was better off paying for a SoCal friend to join us for a day (buy their ticket) to get the discount on the other 5 I needed. However it has been a long time since I did that.

Military is 3 day hopper for $99, but says active duty only, so my discharge papers probably wont work. Wish I could find my ID
I have a costco membership, so I'll try calling SoCal costcos or try socal resident.
Most grocery chains in Southern California sell the SoCal resident priced Disneyland passes when they are offering the promo. The Spring one is about to expire and with the new Carsland, ticket prices jumped significantly. You will need to find an organization with leftover group association tickets that do not expire until later in the year.

Also, if you have a good eBay feedback rating, go ahead and buy the maximum ticket you can afford, and resell the remaining days on the ticket on eBay. So Cal residents will buy them at 50-75% of value to apply towards annual pass purchases.
