We'll be taking a family camping trip across the southern part of Pennsylvania. We're camping and spending a couple weeks, so plenty of time to do things.
We'll be stopping in:
Pittsburgh Harrisburg Lancaster Philadelphia
Any suggestions for family fun (4 and 7 year olds)? Trip will be during the summer.
pitflyer said: In Pittsburgh there is the Carnegie Science Museum. Nearby there is a very nice area you can walk.
If you're not "city folk" you can check out the water steps (free) near the science museum. My country kids loved splashing around there. Head over to station square for the water fountain show (free). Take a ride on the incline to.
We join our local science museum (for $75) just so we can get into all the other science museums for free. We're definitely hitting the Carnegie Science museum. We can also do the Childrens Museum of Pittsburgh free as well.
Anyone interested in the science museum reciprocal program, check out ASTC Passport Program

just moved out of the area this fall, but Knoebel's is great with children... very inexpensive since free admission, parking, etc... can buy individual ride tickets or a bracelet for the day. Food is good and reasonably priced (has been on Food Network!) or you can bring your own
