I don't think so. The ones I have read stipulate that it must be a rate "readily available to the general public". |

Thank you! Thank you! I used the Best Hotel Rate Guarentee w/ Marriotts for my stay next month in Phoneix. I saved $30 a night over Orbit- $90 total. I can buy dinner and quite a few hot dogs at the Cactus League now. My only concession was that I had to get 2 Queens instead of a King. But I think it's worth it! |

I tried to use the Marriott's Best Rate Guarantee and was told " According to the Terms and Conditions of Marriott's Look No Further(SM) Best Rate Guarantee, when multiple rates for the same hotel, reservation dates, and room type are displayed on a Marriott web site, you must reserve the lowest rate to be eligible for the guarantee...For this reason, we must deny your claim under the terms of Marriott's Look No Further(SM) Best Rate Guarantee program."
I have a reservation for a king bed with breakfast but apparently, it was not the lowest rack room rate.
Any thoughts? |

Any suggestions here:
I've been looking for a good Flamingo (Vegas) deal, and though it may not be the best, I just saw that tripres.com basically has the lower price for each night of my stay, (6/20-6/27) but only by $1 each night.
Is there some sort of minimum I would need before I tried doing the price match, with another 25% off? Thought it might be worth it if I can get the 25% off.
Comments about this... or response from anybody that has used pricematch with Flamingo?
Thanks! |

You used rack rate incorrectly in this post.

I had this come up with Expedia last Spring. I e-mailed them w/i 24 hours of finding a better rate, but they did not respond until 72 hours later and denied my request to meet the price.
So I had to call and argue with them that telling me I did not qualify b/c they were slow in processing my e-mail made no sence.
Ultimately, they gave me a $50 coupon after offering to cancel the reservation w/o penalty. They did not reduce my rate, however.
So my advise is to call as soon as you find a better rate rather than e-mail. |

Hey, Thank you. I made a reservation trhu HOJO for 218@ for two nights, and got the same offer for 150$ on www.octopustravel.com. After I emailed HOJO my claim was accepted and I have been given one night free stay and the second night at 90$. |

Got a cracking deal here
Hotel: Flamingo LV Duration: 5 nights When: 22nd Aug - 27th Aug Rate:$69
How-->Booked with hotel website at a rate of $530 in total. found within 24hrs (well i already found it before i booked with the Flam Hee Hee!!) on www.vegashotels.travel a rate of $463 used best Rate Gaurantee, they matched it + 25% to $347. just download form fill it in and fax it to them along with proof snapshots. i had a reply within about 7hrs(im in england & it was sunday in the middle of the night there so mabe be quicker for you)it took 2 trys thou, make sure u send pretax rates per night. (thats all i failed on the first time). i tried checkin the rates on the website for a couple other ceasars hotels and it seems that their friday rate is greatly discounted along with a minor reductions on all other days i asume as i havent checked the other hotel website rates must be some deal they have with ceasars. and i havent tried diferent dates so good luck with it. MAKE SURE YOU CLICK THE 'BOOK NOW' BUTTON AS THE RATES ON THE POPUP ARE CHEAPER/DIFFERNT TO THE SEARCH LIST.
EDIT: Just tried ceasars palace for the same dates against the prices on Vegashotels.travel heres the results
Their based on Deluxe Tower although they have palace tower as well ceasars website:08/22-$270.00,08/23-$250.00,08/24-$250.00,08/25-$310.00, 08/26-$310.00 vegashotels rate:08/22-$151.00,08/23-$151.00,08/24-$151.00,08/25-$151.00, 08/26-$273.00
Total Ceasars $1390 total VHotels $877 * 25% total you would end up with $655 thats over half. wow!!!!
EDIT just checked the other sites of ceasars for same dates and it seems that FRIDAYS match the weekday rate across the board.
Just thought id share this as to pass on the benefit cause if it wasnt for this thread i wouldnt of thought of doing a little but of research work. so thankyou. it definetly pays to dig deep and hang fire and check as many websites as possible i know alot of the websites are the same company under different names i kinda just stumbled over this one after hours of frustrating same or more rate finds. ok im going now to practice the $20 trick on my 7mth old daughter. tarah a bit. |
