I think I checked the 'Nug for my stay and it wasn't any better of a deal than I could find at the cheaper 3-star strip resorts. but I'll go back and verify.
they make it harder to compare, since booking their room is not available on Vegas.com Expedia etc. only through their own site it seems. |

What's all the hoopla about MGM? I've known 2 people to stay there. One said they wouldn't go back and the other moved to the Hilton 2 days after getting there. Granted I hear the pool is nice they both said its far from the hotel, like a really far walk from the room. I can't give my personal opinion as I never stayed there - I do like there casino and ALWAYS win on the nickel machines nearest the front desk area.
I've stayed at RIO free. I played there one night and got coupons for several free nights and free slot tournaments; loved it and a great pool. Mandalay Bay was nice but was there on business and the company paid.
I am going next month and staying at Luxor 2 nights and got a great price ($59) at luxor.com/sumspec Then Venetian for 2 nights on a Priceline deal of $113/night and then Green Valley Ranch who sent me 2 free nights as well. I have played GVR only once so I don't know why I got the freebies. I only play quarter and nickel machines.
Anyway, MGM or not....I'll see you there July 16. |

TheKnife, were you a Players Club member already or did you just sign up?
I signed up online and waited till I got my email confirmation with my players club number before I reserved the room.
$80 night for a strip hotel on a weekend is a good deal in my opinion. |

Hello
For those of you who are not members at the MGM, Code INB075 gets you the $35 dining credit and a $89 room rate on most weekdays.

I second that!
if you have a room at the end of the wing at the MGM you will have miles and miles to walk to the pool!
I have stayed many times and know from experience! |

Just came back from vegas, no problem to use SLM029 (I am not the club player member). I had the west wing room which I don't think I would come back again, it is way too small, and too far away from parking lot. better to pick the regular room and has it closer to elevator. |

I used one of the SLM codes for the MGM for this past Friday night (6/17). Since I had just enrolled for the players club like the OP said to, I didn't have any points accumulated. When I checked in, they DID give me the room for $79, but they DID NOT give me the additional goodies ($35 Dining Credit, One Free Studio 54 Admission, Free Tower Deluxe Premium View Room Upgrade, and some other things). However, like a previous poster, I was just happy to get a room for under $100/night on a weekend. Thx, OP! |

I went back to the Golden Nugget to check out their deals since it IS a nice place to stay if you don't mind downtown. Turns out their "Centennial Summer Special" isn't a bad deal at all:
rates are $59 Sun-Thurs and, $79 Fri-Sat (availablity limited)
I was able to easily find this deal for a date picked in August. Offer runs now through Sept 29. you must book for a minimum of 2 nights and they charge $20 / night for each additional person in the room (but we all know how that works hint hint). this can be booked online or over the phone. must mention Centennial Special.
go here for the full details: http://www.goldennugget.com/home/special_promotions/
thx to hostpath for mentioning GN. OP please add this one
EDIT: this also includes $10 free slot play and a coupon book! forgot to mention!! |

Thanks OP! Glad someone finally combined all the Vegas promos!
Has anyone gotten the calendar to work on the Tropicana deal? I'm a little concerned that if I place the reservation to see what the rates are, I might not be able to cancel it and get the deposit back... |

Unfortunately, I don't remember which SLM code I used -- it was the first one posted for the MGM. Does anyone else remember which one that was? Sorry! |

Thanks for the Tropicana deal. Was nervous when it didn't list the rates on the first page but after submitting the reservation I got rates of 49.00, 39.00, 49.00 for my three night stay. |
