I hope the pool at the MGM lets me take in my lounge float. It leaves me partially submerged in the water and is super comfortable on hot days.

I tried booking multliple rooms with the MGM promo code and was told that it is a special deal for the PLAYERS CLUB member, and will require me to show the PLAYERS CLUB CARD on check-in.

It says up above for players club only...To avoid an issues you can simply sign up for the players card on their website. It only takes a minute.

Has anyone checked into the MGM Grand using this promotion?
I called to verify the reservation since I never got a confirmation email. The rep said that you need any information regarding the promotion such as a print out of a page or an email as well as the players club card.
Just want to know if this is the case.

Dear strosg97,
I registered for the PLAYER'S CLUB card, but the MGM rep told me that the promo code SLM029 is something you get for playing and accumalating so many credits. Hence, it requires the Player's Card that has those credit.
I was wondering, if I just applied to the card I wouldn't have any credits on the card, so will they really honor this promo code and rate.
I don't want to get stuck having to pay the full price if they don't accept it. Please let me know if you have any suggestions.
Dont know what to tell you Pipes. If you dont feel comfortable with it then perhaps go with a different hotel offer. Has anyone had any experiences with this? I have never had someone at the reservations desk ask me for my players card in the past when checking in but I havent stayed at MGM.

Hey OP, where did you find these codes? Is this something we should be worried about if we dont have some kind of credits on our players club account? When I booked, it mentioned nothing about "Credits", so I am not too concerned, but curious for the sake of everyone else.

For Tropicana, use DHJJA05 in both Group Offer and Password spaces and then hit submit. I just tested again and it still works. Sorry I didn't read the problems earlier.

This is what I have found out for the MGM Grand promo:
This is what I was told by MGM Grand:
You need to have your Players Club Card. The person signing in has to have an ID that matches the Players Club Card. The Players Club Card has to have certain amount of credits to qualify. They run this when you check in. You are also not allowed to have two or more rooms. I have a friend who joined online and they stated that he had no activity in his account and therefore would not qualify. I had them check my account and they said that I did qualify for this promotion based on my credits. Actually they offered me a free room for 3 nights instead. This wasn't a comp either. They stated that someone in marketing messed up and sent this through the normal reservation method instead of through the Players Club account. I was told that everyone who is not meant to get this offer will be turned down when they try to check in.
This is a bummer for me since I needed two rooms. It was a great rate though.

Last time it gave prices, but now I get some double add thing. My best advice would be to try a phone rep and use the code. Otherwise, I believe the cancelation policy is 48 hours if you want to try the web and don't like the rates.

I agree with you. How in the world can they turn you away at check in when it was their mistake? I received an email confirmation, and they have debited my account for the first night. I dont see them turning anyone away because they messed up. Also, what if you dont have your players club card with you when you check in? Will they turn you away? I highly doubt it. I dont see how they could change things once you get there.
I switched from the Luxor (btw, another great deal) because this hotel is better, I hope. I have confirmation for 7 nights and a deposit was made. I called up the 877 number to make sure that this was legit since I'll be there 7/9 to 7/16 and don't want any surprises. Customer rep switched me to sales/marketing and the lady said that I was confirmed. I even asked her if there was a stipulation of player points. She didn't know of any.
Bottom line, unlikely they will turn you away if you have the confirmation letter in hand. Casinos are routinely upgrading visitors to better rooms. I doubt they will renege on this deal on the day you go there. It would look bad on them.
Another MGM Grand promotion has been added above and the original one for card members has other codes added.

You have to have an MGM card in order to participate in those promotions. There is one listed in which you dont need to be a card member but the prices are a bit higher.

Well to update on the "Members Only" MGM Grand promo's (the SLM codes), go ahead and cancel your reservation if you didn't recieve the promo from them. I called in to check on my room and they told me I would be charged the full rack rate if I didn't have the promo sent to me originally. So I told them to cancel it out. Your room rate will not be valid if you try to check in, so I just want to update everyone so there is no surprises. Gonna go with the Treasure Island "Celebration" promo that is valid for everyone, better hotel anyway.
