I think I gleamed some of these Enterprise coupon codes from FW, some from SD, and about 1/2 from just web searching, but these are the ones I found the best for my upcoming trip (this weekend) renting from an airport (DCA). Hopefully this is a semi-compiled list.
76ETBKA 20% off any vehicle 76ETBKB $15 off UCBALUM with code Cal (thanks TraderSam) Linked - 10% discount, and waives under-25 fee Details AMXCNL 25% @ neighborhood, 15% @ airport, exp. 4/12/06 <-- this one is if you're renting with an Amerlcan Express card; however they don't require you to reserve your car with a CC. Some have reported that they ask for your card at the desk, others haven't been asked. So my reccomendation is that you book a backup rental (I used the one just above, which only came out to $5 more for 4 days). Also, if you print out the confirmation email (as opposed to the confirmation from the webpage) it doesn't say that you need to rent with your AM-EX card. K5071 with code ABIDetails 24E7184 with code RUT NA62011 with code ILL - not as great as the one above NA24YU1 with code YAL - waives under-25 fee (from JeebusSaves below) ETBX6G or ETBX6F - these are from the Entertainment Books, so bring your coupon or risk it. 25% off daily rates up to 7 days, exp 4/30/06 50% off weekend rates, Fri-Mon minimum, exp 4/06, certain locations/blackout dates
Also, I booked 3 weeks ago for less than $20/day for a Compact, then looked again last week (about 10 days before the trip) and found the prices had dropped with the same coupon codes. However, 6 days before the trip they have gone up. My advice - book a reservation, then keep checking back (now I'm paying less than $15/day), as changing reservations doesn't cost a thing. Sometimes checking back and forth makes the coupon box disappear; simply close that browser and bring up a new one.
The trick with Enterprise is to book your best rate, then keep checking. Cancel and rebook as you find better rates. Their rates can change daily as reservations fluctuate at any location.
I am on a trip right now where I booked a Denver airport full size rental for 3 days. I cancelled 4 different times! Ended up with a full size for $12.72 per day. About $53 bux out the door (after airport taxes, etc) for a 3 day rental. The next day the price shot up to $200!
When I picked up the car yesterday, the counter guy said "wow you got a good rate". I've never had a problem with their service. He gave me 4 fullsize cars to pick from.
Edit: PS, I used the AMXCNL code. I have an AMX card, but prefer to charge to my MasterCard and that was no problem when booking on line, and no problem at the counter.
I am using UCBALUM with code Cal (thanks TraderSam) - discount, and waives under-25 fee. I got a rate at $140 for a week. When I printed the reservation confirmation, I saw a california alumni association member. It does not matter right? Or, do I have to show a proof that I am a california alumni association member?
thanks for the codes! i only need a 2-day rental so i just used the 25% off... i don't think they actually took very much off but oh well. what can i do when it's so last-minute (i need the car like NOW).
Did you ever find out if they ask if you are a CA alum member with the UCBALUM code? I googled it and one person said they have used it twice and they don't ask. I used this code and got over half off of my original reservation!

The website asks for the first 3 letters of the company name when you use code UCBALUM. I entered CAL and it worked. Rental will be on 4/3/06 so we'll see...

Did you get that to fly? I am looking to use this soon. Would really appreciate it if you could let me know if it worked
hey there, a good friend of mine has now used the UCBALUM code 3 times and they've never asked him for proof of membership. he's also a berkley alum so it shouldn't be a problem anyway. in any case, he says that he's not even sure how he would prove that he's an alum. he doesn't remember if he has a card or not...
for all you folks that rent cars on a regular basis, is there any way to get a free upgrade at enterprise (not at an airport)? is there an ideal day or best time to make your reservation that might help you get an upgrade? thanks in advance...

I rent from Enterprise about 4 times a year or so. For some reason they upgrade me about 75% of the time, without me asking. They can give you whatever they want, and if something nicer is immediately available, they'll usually offer it (in my experience). I just always try to treat the rep with respect, make some small talk, and they're usually pretty cool. You might as well pay for at LEAST a mid size anyway, it's only a couple bucks a day to upgrade. One good thing is that they will never downgrade you, only upgrade. I usually pick up the car early on Friday (before work).. So maybe that timing has something to do with it. Good luck.
The reason enterprise does this, is because most of the time the smaller size car you reserved is not there on the lot. If you ever go into an Enterprise and they are really pushing hard for you to upgrade to a bigger car for a few more bucks a day --- NEVER NEVER NEVER EVER do it! 99% of the time if they ask you if you want to upgrade, just say no, you dont want to pay anymore money -- you will end up getting a free upgrade.
trust me. i work at enterprise!
if you ever need a good corporate code, let me know i have access
