Construction is a bit of hit or miss right now. They've moved some major stuff around(poker room, buffet, check in) and there are temporary walls here and there. So far, from what I've been reading, it's improving little by little. As for the $20 trick, there's another thread and the aladdin has been very good for those willing to try the $20 trick. If anything, it'll at least get you a fountain view room.

Although I did check again later on 10/1 after I had booked and confirmed mine, and the price was back up to the regular $600/night. :-P

I'm wondering if you know how late the player's club desk open til. I'm looking to join the club prior to check in. Oops...the hotel is Aladdin. How bad are the renovations going on right now?
