Thanks, Argonosiru!

Dejavoo,

I assume that you are talking about the Pali Lookout? If you take exit H3 off of the freeway, it is right off of Route 61, just a little ways from Kamehameha Hwy (or Route 83). The circle tour drive map that I referenced in my report should help you. The Pali lookout is the second stop on the tour drive. Make sure that you watch for the signs indicating the Lookout....we passed right by it the first time. Good luck....you will really enjoy the view.

The Pali Lookout is off Pali Hwy. The weather (during the day) has been great here on Oahu.... sunny! Enjoy your trip. Aloha!

p.s. While visiting the lookout, please make sure you take your expensive belongs with you (cameras, purse, etc..) and don't leave them in the car.

Once again, great review and excellent pics!!! I can't believe that you used an Olympus Camedia 510-Zoom to take them!!!

There are several lookout points that i would recommend.

The one that i like the best is i believe called "the point" Take the H1 east which turns into the 72. the 72 practically runs along the cliff side of east oahu. Along that long stretch of highway, they have view points along it. everyone is equally nice. The last time i was there, besides seeing all the stars and constellations, i even saw a shooting star and my friends saw 2 or 3.

Use google earth to get a good idea of how to drive.

I've never been to pali look out at night ( the sign says it closes at 5ish but i guess its not enforced.) its a terrific view in the day time. windy as heck. if you feel adventurious, walk the pathway down the hill. be sure to not wear loose fitting clothes as the path gets really tight with trees and brushes protuding out the single file trail.

Oh, and do yourself a favor and go to the ala moana mall. its large, and i think the best mall i've ever been to, besides having perhaps the best looking locals there.

have fun, take alot of pics.
