RE: Dining. Sesame Place is in a very built up area with dozens of food options less than a mile to the park. A major mall (see below) is literally right up the road with a food court, italian ices, and many restaurants from fast food to better dining on the mall parimeter (Bertucci's, Cheeseburger In Paradise, Red Robin, Friday's, Charley Browns). Depending on your park schedule, you could leave and come back with a hand stamp to go grab some real, reasonably priced food.

Typically discounts at Busch Entertainment parks of which Sesame Place is one, are on admissions or gift shops but rarely the hot dog/soda stands.

Bring what you need to survive the park and spend the money on some real food close by.

The character breakfasts are lots of fun for the kids. The characters are available in the park as well at different times for picture taking and the like, but it's somewhat more personal at the breakfast.

Knowing pre-schoolers still take naps, tire out by 3 PM in the hot sun, etc is why I turned you onto the mall. A nice air conditioned place to go while the little one sleeps in the stroller and a way for Mom and Dad to re-charge their batteries and sit down or browse in a store. The park empties out by 4PM in large part for this reason (and if a weekday, the camp groups are gone by then too), so if they are open later, you can go back and hit the attractions/shows you may have missed earlier if you feel like.


Check about re-entry and parking, usually they stamp your hand and will honor your parking receipt to return if you drive out and come back.

Sesame Place has the sprinkler type watering spots and a water slide for the kids, so a bathing suit/change of clothes is also helpful to let them cool off if it's a hot day. Have fun!!

We were just there a couple of weeks ago with my 1.5 and 3.5 year olds. Good time. Food is expensive. Don't eat in the park if you don't have to. There are plenty of places around Sesame Place to eat at a reasonable price. Sesame Place is built smack dab in the middle of a huge shopping district. I'm from that area (grew up like 10 miles down the road), so I don't know anything bout accomadations since I just stayed with my family. But if you want to know anything about the park or the surrounding area, just ask.

I lived only 1 miles from the park but never thought of taking my kids there. Always passed by it and for some reason I always got the impression that it was small and the prices were expensive. I've noticed $8 coupons on Pathmark bags though. Also, there is a Sheraton right across the street.

Pizzeria Uno is just around the corner also.

Apparently, there are several coupon codes to use: Pepsi, Southwest, Lowes, Gerber (all of their sponsors). The best 2 day ticket was using Southwest - $39.85; Pepsi, Lowes, and Gerber all had 20% off 1 day ticket @ $33.56.

Is the park appropriate for a 2.5 year old? Just wondering if any of the rides have height minimums. Thanks!
