Upgarde is done at counter. There is no guarantee, hey, you could end up with a SUV or what you booked. If you really need a van, book a van just to be safe. |

American Express cardholders renting at a Neighborhood Avis location can get this deal -
Rent 3 days or more at a neighborhood Avis and get 25% off and a $25 American Express gift card when you charge the bill to your American Express credit card. Must include a Sat. keep and may not include any other offer.
AWD D837200
Expires 12/31/07
This beat many other AWD codes I tried in MSP. I was able to add a coupon to this as well. We'll see if it all goes through. I called Avis and asked the customer service rep to try it and she said it goes through just fine. We'll see if I still get the gift card though. In case anyone is considering renting at a neighborhood location but is flying into an airport, remember that you can take a cab right outside the luggage pickup to that location and then when you are leaving you can usually return it to the airport location without an extra charge. Just put it in your reservation that way on the online reservation form and see. |

Has anyone ever had a problem using Code C031529?
I want to give the code to my family/friends coming in for my wedding (Atlanta) in October. I'm worried if 20-30 cars are all using the same code it might throw up a red flag. |

I am trying to use C031529 but I can not get unlimited miles when I go to rent online. Is there something I am doing wrong?
Thanks |

Avis charges me .40 a mile when I enter the code C031529. This is for a one way rental. The quote is cheaper than the regular quote but the mileage cost per mile makes it way to expensive |

Does anyone remember the so-called 'secret' Avis code? That priced any car, unlimited miles, for $25.00 a day? I'm trying to find it and can't...I was gona try my luck at an Avis franchiser in the middle of nowhere, North Dakota. |

Thanks Try both lowest rate option then corporate rate and compare the price and milage. Sometimes corporate rate will force unlimited miles. |

Having the same problem. Keep getting the .40 cents per mile. So the rate is higher. Wish I could find the loophole around the .40. New to Fat Wallet so I hope my posting is ok. Looking for best ONE WAY CAR RENTAL rate from Kansas City, MO (airport or other location) to the Indianapolis, IN Airport. Last year I rented from Avis and had a 140.00 rate including miles. This year the rates are up to 350 with miles. How do I find a good Rate with no miles. I used this link from another thread but the rate was billing out miles at .40 per mile (ouch!). https://www.Avis.com/AvisWeb/reservation/ReservationsInitializer?AWD_NUMBER=C031529 |

I just wanted to say this is a killer thread and thank you OP for keeping it updated. I was in such a rush last week to book everything I didn't even think to look at FW, so my bad, but this is a great deal. |
