Let's try to put this question to rest... I just emailed the Aladdin and asked what the hours were at the Club Aladdin counter. Here's their reply:

I tried to book this deal over the phone (to get the free night), but they ask for your players card number right away. I probably should have said that I don't currently have the card on me (which is true haha), and that I would give the number later, but I wasn't prepared, and ended up telling them I would book with a different hotel.
