I arrived at the Aladdin last night, having booked via the deal which allegedly requires the club card. I arrived at approx. 12 am. and proceeded straight to the players club window (which was open) and signed up for the card. I then checked in. NO ONE ASKED ME TO SHOW THE CARD WHEN I CHECKED IN.
Bottom line answers: 1. No one asked me for the card upon check-in. Further, I have read many, many, posts related to this topic on fatwallet.com and (although people are frequently asked when they call) I am not aware that ANYONE (who has booked with the online promo code) has ever been asked to present the players club card upon check-in. 2. the players club window is open after 12pm until 2am. 3. DO NOT CALL THE HOTEL. - book online.

It was probably just a threat by them and one department doesn't know what the other is doing.
Did you try the $20 trick? Get an upgrade?? Aladdin seems pretty easy to get one!

So... anybody figure out any ways of using this deal for the free night if you don't have a players card, since it specifically says you have to book over the phone to get the free night?
Man, it'd be AWESOME to get the Aladdin for 25 bucks per night, but I don't have a player's card...

Great news about this deal we are arriving on Nov 12th with fall special deal $109 and 79 per nite. They did charge for 1st nite of reservation so I do not expect any problems at check in but will be getting card just in case. How was construction going at the casino? Did you try the $20 trick? Thanks for info...

Aladdin promo free nights CNEW4. I called the hotel to book I do have a players card but could not find it. However I never was sent the mailer. They did transfer me to VIP booking where the girl offered me casino rate of $89.99 a night. I asked of the CNEW4 promo she looked up my players number and allowed me to book for the November 25 and 26. For 49.99 a night plus the free night. I have not been to the ALaddin since last November so I think as long as you at least have a number you can book.

I have booked Aladdin for 5 nights starting Nov. 12th using the special website link. I NEVER called anyone, and Aladdin already charged my credit card for the first night. (I do not have a players club card)
I plan on just getting a players club card when I arrive.
My question is, where exactly is the Players Club Window? Is it just some window inside the casino with a sign over it called "Players Club Window"? Or can you just go to any change window and get a players club card there?
TIA

Hey all, my sister and I are going to the aladdin from 11/15-11/19. Booked in sept., they charged one night right away. Does anyone know what the hours are for player's club? We might not be there till 11 pm or so, and I really want to make sure we don't miss it and get charged full $$. Thanks for any help!
The players club booth is right in the casino. It's not the same as the cashier. Just ask someone and they will direct you.

I have to take issue with your bottom line #1 statement. No one asked you for the card when you checked in. That doesn't mean that no one is asked for it. That would be like saying you made it to work this morning without having a car accident, so no one has car accidents.

Fair enough. I officially amend #1 as follows:
1. No one asked me for the card upon check-in. Further, I have read many, many, posts related to this topic on fatwallet.com and (although people are frequently asked when they call) I am not aware that ANYONE (who has booked with the online promo code) has ever been asked to present the players club card upon check-in.
ps. if anyone HAS been asked to present the card or was otherwise shut-down or inconvenienced as a result of not having the card, I strongly encourage you to post here and share your experiences. That's why I started this thread. Prior to arriving at the Aladdin I had a total freak-out because I didn't have the card and was arriving very late (based on the mods comment about being contacted by the Aladdin). When I arrived I realized that the stress was for nothing and I wanted to allay other's concerns.
I second 'hendog', please post if you have problems!
I promise to do so on 11/20 when I get back--also DON'T CALL!
Best of luck everyone...

Thanks 'hendog' for your thread specifically on this topic. I was also worried about the whole club card situation, but this thread has alleviated my worrying. I am going to check in at Aladdin tomorrow and will post my results, but I may not be able to post them until I get back.
I encourage others to post their results from booking Aladdin deals that "require" a club card. The more results we have the more definate we can be that the club card isn't really necessary.

I was asked for my players club when I checked in on tuesday. They do not do any major checks on it, but they will ask. So dont be dumb, go sign up for the card. It's only a minute or two away from hotel registration and it takes a minute to do.

Arrived Sunday morning 11/12 about noon did get player card first then to hotel check in. Gave them name of reservation I was NEVER asked for players card at time of check in. Female clerk was very nice I gave her my drivers license with the $20 under it, asked if there was anything she could do for a view of the strip and fountains. First she said was those rooms start at $30 more per nite then she seen the $20 boy that was gone fast she typed away and she set us up on the 26th floor overlooking Belligio foutains, tip ask for north tower for best view of fountains. Also got all deals with promo slot play free show tickets etc. Overall stay at the Aladdin was great the construction is bothersome but not a trip killer. Room was clean bed was best we have slept on is quite a while. Self parking is not worth it unless you like walking alot make use of the valet but wait times are long at check in times in moring early afternoon. We did dine at Blondies where service was not the greatest and food was only fair. Recommend seeing Nathon Burton magic show that was very entertaining. Tip get upgrade to vip status for $10 more and get better seating signed pics etc. Would stay here again due to location on the strip but will have to see how planet hollywood will change things they are all over to get you to buy condo/timeshare at the new towers. Hate to see another icon like the Aladdin just tossed away, but the neon museum needs more signs. Also a good tip to see and very intersting Vegas history check them out at http://www.neonmuseum.org/ to set up a tour. Good luck to all...

We checked in 1am Thurs 11/16, signed up for player's club, but were NOT asked. Didn't try the $20 trick, but it probably would have worked, girl working the desk was very friendly. The location is awesome, valet was good, and there was never too long a wait for cabs. I would stay again, especially with such a good rate, rooms were nice, and staff all around very helpful and friendly.
Checked in last tuesday and was not asked for the players club(I didn't try the $20 trick) We got the coupons with the key card:$10 free slot play, 2 free tickets for show @V theater and buy 1 get 1 buffet free @spice market. Totally worth it!

I booked a stay for December 9-12 via the CNEW4 promotion in the mail. I called to book and they did ask for my players card number to book the room. Its worth it to sign up for the players card if you don't have one. Ask if they are running any promotions when you sign up. I remember when I signed up I got an aladdin t-shirt, a coffee cup, and $30 in slot play just for getting the card. You'll also then be on their mailing list for future offers and won't have to wait to read about them on FW We were there in April so it'll be interesting to see how things have progressed or regressed.

Stayed from 11/23-11/27, great time! Did not try $20 trick, but I saw a few $20s near the check-in desk, so I'm sure they accept it (as has been confirmed by others).
In addition to the coupons others are mentioning, you get a coupon for the Desert Passage savings booklet upon checking in. Inside there is a coupon for $5 slot play!
Did anyone else get charged for the bottled water? They tried charging me twice when I stayed there, and then once after I checked out! Never even touched the thing. They reversed all the charges after I spoke with them, but just curious if anyone else had the same problem.

I'm thinking of pulling the trigger on this CNEW4 promotion for the first week in January. Can you tell me if the 2 free show tickets that they give you are good for any of the shows held there? I want to see the Fab 4 show! I could care less about any of the other shows there, but that is a nice bonus if tickets to see the Fab4 are included with this promotion?
What other worthwhile coupons do they give you upon check-in? I would think the first week in January should be fairly slow after New Year's, so I'm hoping to get a nice room upgrade with the $20 trick!

I'm not sure if the coupons change, but I got the following:
2 Free afternoon show tickets (I don't remember for which shows - didn't use them) Buy 1 Get 1 Free Lunch or Breakfast Buffet (Spice Market Buffet) $10 Free Slot Play OR $10 Table Match Play Discount book to the Desert Passage (the shops/mall at Aladdin) - The book has the $5 slot play in there also, like I mentioned in my earlier post.
I think those were it. If any of them are wrong, someone correct me.

Thanks guys, I've booked 3 nights stay (12/18-12/20) on line. can I get 12/18 (the first day) for free when I check in? otherwise I may have to cancel it and book 12/19-12/21 and get 12/21 for free. Oh, I will try the $20 trick definitely. and come back to share the experience.

Should be slow Jan 2 - 6th. CES starts on Jan 8th, so you'll have a tough time getting an upgrade if you're there Jan 7 - 12th.

I'm curious as to why you want/need to get the first night free? Normally you check into a hotel, they guarentee it with your credit card, and you pay whatever the total is when you check out. Sometimes they will ask for a deposit, or they will preauthorize a certain amount on the credit card. It's not like you walk up to the front desk with $49 in your hand every day.

I stayed last weekend (12/7-11) at the Aladdin with the special rate. Got my Club card right before checking in. They didn't really ask for it, but I did give it to them anyway (they did mark the club number on my reservation). The club card also allows you a free slot pull each day and you get a $10 free slot play with the check-in coupons.
I did the $20 trick -- they put me in a resort room in the south tower with a nice view of the fountains. I've stayed there several times now, and you should ask for the North tower for the best views (I didn't realize my room was in the south tower until I headed for the elevator).
I got the 2 free tickets to the V Theatre and used them to see the Fab Four show -- it was fair, but I wouldn't have wanted to pay for it. They will offer ticket "upgrades" for $10 each -- I didn't go for it -- from what I saw there wasn't a big difference, you could see the show equally well from almost anywhere in the theatre.
The changeover to Planet Hollywood is going well. I'd expect the main floor to be finished soon. Nothing too bothersome.
Enjoy your stay there!

The CNEW7 (not CNEW4) offer is apparently not dead but no longer bookable online because of the number of non-card holders booking. You can still book it on the dog and bone but will need your players card no.

I just checked dates in April that were available earlier this week. It now says sold. I do have a players club card, do you think the rooms are still available, and they're just holding out for ppl to call with real numbers?
Edit: nevermind, I checked a bunch of random dates and everything says sold. I will just call. Thx for the heads up!

I just went to the Aladdin Desert passages and got a coupon book using my auto club card. There is a fantastic buy 1 got 1 free 16 ou drink for coffee bean and tea leaf - works on all but regular coffee. Also, Tacone (a fast food wrap healthy and delecious at least in LA) buy one wrap or salad get one free. Melissa
Just returned from 4 nites at PH room 3860. It was worth no more than 50USD per night. Internet, local/800 calls, coffee, etc. are extra and overpriced. The bathroom has a great soaking tub and separate shower large enough for coupling. The loud music in the casino and the high minimums for the table games placed this property very low on my priority list for future LV visits. I paid 360usd pp for air/hotel/taxes via aavacations from ORD. I used Bell-Trans shuttle to/from McCarren (11USD pp) The high-point was the free upgrades to First Class on AA's 757 nonstop. Power ports kept the lappy happy for three hours. Food/service was above average. I wiped out their supply of Bailey's (w/coffee) both legs.
