Thanks so much for this thread! I was between a rock and a hard place trying to find something decent for a family vacation in Washington DC. Got the JW Marriott on Pennsylvania Ave. for $165 per night with the federal employee discount. We almost went with a Holiday Inn in Crystal City for $95 per night (Hotwire). This is so much better! |

As a hotel employees, I ofen increase the rate with out substantial proof. With reagrds to Government rate, you must be at the hotel for government purposes or business. Marriott does not have a Government Leisure rate nor a retired Military rate. Aslo, the rate can be used for Federal, State and Local employees on business. |

Has anyone used the COK (coca cola) code in Chicago? Specifically at the Blackstone? |

I'm traveling next month and saw that reservation made with LPR at JW gives a huge discount and upgrades, but requires a gold card (which I'm assuming to be a Marriott Gold?). I'm only of a silver status. If I borrow a friend's Gold Card, but charges to my AMEX, do you think it will work? Thanks for any info. Anyone interested in working out an arrangement with me on this if you have Gold Status? This is for a 12-night stay. |
