can i ask a question? these codes, do they have to be booked directly using hertz.com or can you use something like Hotwire, Priceline, Expedia, etc?

I am going to need a month rental in the denver area(from a city pickup- not airport) from 8dec -9jan (or 8jan if it makes a huge difference). I have found the cheapest rate w/out coupons or codes on Priceline for $550/month, or $607 after taxes and fees going through to the 9th of Jan.

I can't seem to get it any lower... i've tried Orbitz, Expedia, Travelocity, i'm getting kinda foggy about what i've tried and haven't tried and what coupons i've tried. However, i do know that i tried the Car and Driver Mag code on Priceline and it did nothing, and on hertz.com it was nearly $900 for that time frame, even with the code.

Any suggestions? Can i reserve through Priceline or Hotwire at that low rate and then call the place i booked at to get further discounts with coupons or the CDP? any help is much appreciated everyone!

TY, OP and others that contributed!
Using the Car and Driver code, I was looking at ~$900 for a 10 day rental from SFB airport in FL during Dec 2008. I suppose prices are running high the holiday season

To my knowledge, you can't reserve through Priceline or Hotwire and then call the company to get further discounts with coupons or the CDP.

I need a coupon for SFO December 26, 2008 - January 3, 2009. What is working at the moment? I had a great Discover Card one in August, 35% off plus free upgrade and unlimited miles.

Hi,
Am I missing something? I entered the code and it says not all details entered.

Used
CDP 1261109 (Allied Business Network, no ID required, see ad on their website, not membership required
and AMEX CP listed above: 124725

lowest rate I could find (other than F&F which is $8 cheaper with coupon but didn't want to risk it). total $29 for 2 day weekend in SLC

The other CDP codes above all gave less of a discount.

Yeah, search the threads. It's been covered repeatedly. It took me less than a minute to find a link.

Right now, it appears that CDP# 00004 is giving the hottest rates. Even better than the Hertz code. I cannot find a PC to stack with it however.

Location: LAS Vegas
Dates: 3/1 - 3/4

I yearn for the days of the 50.00 vette

*Side note - SimplyWheelz is not renting cars that weekend. Apparently they can get full price for them @ regular Hertz.

Coolbarguy,
What is the CDP for Travel Partners. Hertz.com will not take the PC 123325 without CDP.
Thanks

CDP 391867 (gives 5% discount)
PC code :959372 for weekend, Save up to $15 on weekend rentals, earn double miles and receive your Continental discount
PC code :990883 for weekly, Save $20 on 5+ day rentals, earn triple OnePass miles and receive your OnePass discount

Works on airport as well as non airport reservations.

(thanks to continental website)

The combination of CDP: 391867 and PC:128111 has given me the best rate of $141.69 from 7/18 to 7/27. Has anyone used these codes before and had success? Or does anyone know if these are family member discounts that I should stay away from? Just want to make sure I am not asked for an ID or coupon of some sorts that I can't present. Thanks!

The codes are for members of Continental's FF program. No guarantees if you are not a member.

There is some information in another post about Hertz free weekend day special. Use PC Code: 127595 for a free weekend day, and if you are a AAA member you can get an additional discount on top of the free weekend rental. I rented a car for 5 days for the total of $73.59, including taxes, and the free weekend day, and AAA discount. Under affiliations type in AAA, then under PC Code type in 127595

Hope this helps anyone looking for a weekend trip. I just booked it this morning, so the codes are still good.
