My wife and I have a 1 yr old son and would like to get away somewhere in December coming up. Anyone know of place where we can go as a family. I live in NJ but do not mind flying somewhere either as long as we can bring the baby. TIA.

You are joking right???

You expect someone to plan a trip for you leaving from New Jersey! You expect people to read their crystal balls and your mind...know your likes and dislikes and then plan a trip for you in December. Did you even bother to read how to post a request like this? It states that you need to show what you have found in regards to hotel/airfare, etc. You can't honestly expect someone to plan a trip for you and your family (including a 1 year old)!! Call a travel agent...tell them what you want and let them plan it...no one here knows what you like or enjoy doing.

Red Red Red for a crazy, lazy post!!!!!

Japan
Kansas
Long Island (wanted to give you a local option as well!)

Raj- I saw a couple of days ago on either sherman's travel or travel zoo- there was a fairly good price for iirc 3 nights (all-inclusive) at Holiday Inn sunspree resort (iirc- bahamas). I don't know if you are considering cruises, or if a 1 year old would be comfy/ safe- some really inexpensive ones in December. It also depends on how fussy you are on which boat/ cabin/ itinerary. Gl.

Go to Las Vegas in mid december before the holidays. Rooms are cheap. Many buffets in Las Vegas.
You can find all sorts of flights between Newark and Las Vegas.
Shuttle between the airport and the Las Vegas strip is not expensive compared to other tourist cities.
Shopping and seeing sites in the area can be done with the baby.

A bunch of FWers are driving across to Pennsylvania to around Lancaster county and Hershey PA in Nov and December time frame.
Makes for a inexpensive trip for a couple of days.

Based on all of your research and the specifications you have provided, I would strongly suggest a trip to Havana.

Call 011-53-7-867-5309 and ask for Fidel.

In light of all your efforts, I am sure he will be glad to plan a trip for you.

If that doesn't work out, call 867-5309 and ask for Jenny.

This made me snort-laugh in a most unladylike fashion.
