Yup, it looks dead. Wow this has been going on for 3 months and then one month on FW and it dies (FW effect). |

Now, if I could only get a good rate with national. Was looking for a car in LAX July 27th - August 3rd(a week) and best I could get so far is $450 , hopefully prices will go down! ????? You obviously need a better contract ID. I found a sebring convertable WITHOUT using the exec upgrade for $201 for that week in LAX.... |

HEre a quick question, in order to use my Executive Membership upgrade, can I book my car with a different contract ID than what it automatically gives me when I sign on. The price difference between the two contract Id's is huge. But I would like the added benefit of reserving a midsize car and picking out a better car from the executive section. Thank you in advance for any help |

You can use whatever contract ID you want - your membership is attached to you, not to your contract ID. |

I'm not familiar with Emerald Booth, but if you can pick from Executive, you almost surely will get a sweet ride at LAX, though it does depend on when you pick your car up. if you come in on Friday-Sunday, you have a pretty good selection, other days, YMMV. I don't think it would be worth it if you just had regular Emerald Aisle, but the Executive cars are pretty decent. I go there once a month and in the past year have had: Toyota Avalons, RAV4, Camry, Highlanders, even a FJ Cruiser once. |

Another experience, rented in Phoenix, reserved an Intermediate Car, walked down to where the cars where and was told I could pick any car on aisle 6 or 7. They had camrys, pick up trucks, suvs, the works. Grabbed a Camry and still paid the Intermediate Price for the rental. |

Ok, so I booked LAX NOV 10th-17th and Burbank Nov 10th-17th. At LAX i have a mid-size suv reserved. At Burbank i have a Midsize Car reserved. Both give me the same exact price. Here's my question, which location will I get a better upgrade do you think? First, I don't know if my MidSize SUV is available for me to choose any car I want at executive aisle at LAX. Second, Burbank doesn't have an executive aisle so do I even get to pick a car of my choice? Thank you for the help. |

Unofficially, you're allowed to take from the Exec aisle as long as you have a Midsize *or better* reserved. Since Burbank doesn't have an exec aisle, you'll get your choice of midsize cars. Yawn. You best bet is definitely LAX. But if you want, you can book 2 reservations at LAX. Book a midsize car at LAX, in addition to your SUV. If you like what's in the exec aisle, phone and cancel your SUV reservation. If you like something in the midsize SUV section, phone and cancel the midsize car reservation. |
