Where did you see this fee? Its $25 for domestic, $50 for international, that too as a fuel surcharge. Obviously, this is if you book in advance and not with 10 days notice.

Rates for a 5 day rental are $24 a day higher than if I book with my normal discount coupons. Doesn't seem like a good deal to me.

A 5-day rental would be a total waste as you need only 1 day to get the miles, and you're paying extra $$$ when booking through Delta. For people near airports with cheap rentals (like me) this is a hot, hot deal! $90 for 30,000 miles! Last year I needed 1000 miles to get two tickets to Europe and I had to pay over $60 for 2000 miles.

What's the date in Seattle?
Can I know?

NukeMedDude said:This seems really hot. I can find a compact car in SEA for 29/day. Three seperate days will end up costing me ~$100.00 total. How are people not jumping on this? Are Delta miles impossible to redeem for an award ticket?

sorry that was my bad . the site say $75 extra when you book within 20 days

FYI, be sure to give the counter agent your Skymiles number. Iseatz apparently is not forwarding your Skymiles numbers even though they are entered on the reservation online.

So far, I've been successful calling in and adding my Skymiles number to yesterday and today's rental, and I hope it works.

It is good

I just found this website that You can get free computers, xbox 360s, PS3s, Nintendo Wiis, Flatscreens TVs, iPods, ect. All of that for completely Free

This Web Site Also Has complete instructions plus a video walkthrough/Tutorial on how to do it. I tried and I have already got a Xbox 360.
You guys should really try it so go to FreebieFunction

Great! I also found some places that you can get all those and pretty much everything free for doing something very simple and easy. Plus you don't need a video tutorial to learn how to do it: hand over your credit card.
Forgot to mention, those places include WalMart, Meijer, Target, etc.. Other FW fellows please add what else you've found!

if i make three different reservation for three consecutive days . do have to go back to return and take car every day . how will it work out in that case ?

alert mods

Has anyone considered making three reservations for the a similar time period and returning the cars early:

Rental 1: 9:00am July 11, 2008 - 9:00am July 12, 2008
Rent at 9:00am return at 10:00am
Rental 2: 10:00am July 11, 2008 - 10:00am July 12, 2008
rent at 10:00am return at 11:00am
Rental 3: 11:00am July 11, 2008 - 11:00am July 12, 2008
rent at 11:00am return by time due back

Or do your rentals have to be on separate days?

You do have to go back and close out the previous rental record.

I think the sooner consumers understand that frequent flyer miles are not an entitlement and therefore should not dictate purchase behaviour, the better things will be.

Similar logic to that of corporations who about-face on pensions.

There is a principle in contract law called reliance. That among much other legal mischief is what scores against the carriers, whose only excuse other than increasing gas prices is the unionized wages that they find themselves "forced" to pay.

I completed one day Avis rental . but after returning the car the receipt didn't show 9999 bonus miles . is there a way to verify that i qualified for the bonus miles .

last year about xmas time i used my frequent flier miles from Delta to get a round trip ticket. BEWARE!!! you need 25,000 miles to redeem this which is cool but they stick you with the fees and all so it came out to be around $70 for the round trip... not that im complaining or anything about the $70 but they didnt make it clear that when you redeem its not really a totaly free rt tix.

You can request a email receipt here
Avis
Actually some guys reported that they got their miles even though their awd numbers were in the reservation.

Allow 20 days before your flight and the fee won't show up. That why many seats become available after this dead line.
