thanks
btw it did show my skymiles number and awd #223900 You can request a email receipt here Avis Actually some guys reported that they got their miles even though their awd numbers were in the reservation.I have got AWD- no number, and no miles earned on the paper receipt, but Avis online has 10049 miles. Will see if it shows up on Delta. Rented for a couple hrs. They had a huge line at the counter. Probable took me another hour. Many people, appear to be regular travelers, got frustrated as their reservations were not honored; however, mine was OK even though I went there a few hours late. |

The mileage does show on the Avis web page showing the receipt. But, it does not yet show on my Delta account. I did notice that the Avis counter dingd me for $13.xx in gas when i returned the car full. Be careful folks. |

Avis has a sign prominently placed on their counter saying that they will automatically charge you $13.95 for gas if you have driven less than 75 miles. To avoid this charge, show the gas station receipt from a location within a 10 mile radius. |

I went in for my third rental today. There is no such sign. (Don't you just love it when you can prove some one who is completely self-righteous about his certainty that he's just wrong!) I mentiond to the counter lady that I'd driven 16 miles and was charged for 2 gallons. She said she'd have then refund it. Also, my other rental was that same way, few miles, and there was no such charge. |

Saw the sign at Houston airport on Monday last week, Grand Rapids airport on Thursday and Tampa airport yesterday. Here is the link from the Avis website that talks about it. |

Plan to rent another 3 rental next weekend I hope you need to make those rentals anyway...I don't think anyone has proven conclusively that you can get the bonus more than 3 times! There is a lot of speculation on the extensive thread on FT, and the consensus seems to be that they're only going to give out 3 bonuses TOTAL, not 3 each for both Budget and Avis. Then again, no one has proved conclusively that you COULDN'T get 3 bonuses from each company...that would be SWEET! A few people who have already done their first 3 rentals are talking about trying for more, but most of them need rental cars on those days anyway. It's quite a risk until someone proves it possible so, good luck...

oh cool...good luck, then. I thought about getting my GF to work the deal as well. Wasn't trying to shoot your idea down, just wanted to make sure that you weren't wasting the money on 3 rentals for a long shot! |

As far as I understand it HAS to be through Delta to get the bonus, although the points don't come through them... |

Do u really need to book your car on Delta's website or can I just goto Avis or Budget site and get the miles? It has to be through the airline site, no choice there. |

For those of you looking for bonuses to post, according to what I've found on the FT thread, Delta seems to update their mileage balances on Thurs. nite/Fri. So if you have any rentals after 7/13, they would not post until AT LEAST tomorrow...so keep your hopes up! |
