Decided to call the hotel I wanted to stay. They cannot honor the promotion directly through them. All has to go through the website....Wait, what website

This is worse than the AMEX holiday promo ... even when it was good.

IF you get through on LHW phone line you'll get an automated message that this promotion can only be fulfilled online.

I just tried calling the number got message that it was a "non working number" I dont think they really planned to give away any cheap rooms.

Eh, looks like they either (A) used the 19.28 room rate as a stunt to promote their service and conviently made the page not available to allow guest to get that rate or....(B) Were not prepare with enough servers to handle the estimated traffic.

Either way, they lied and/or were not prepared.

Having said that, I cannot afford the normal rate at the hotels at this point in my life but I am hoping one day I will be able to. When that day comes, I am sure their will be a hotel chain that has $expensive/night rooms where I will not look back on my younger days and say...hmm, I was not pleased with that chain at some point in my life. Today, I am not pleased with LHW.

Yep. I called Hotel direct too. Theiur phones were ringing off the hook. My friend called LHW site yesterday to ask what the "catch" was. They said "no catch but we exspect to have an overwhelming response on our site and it's GONNA crash the site so be patient" They knew ahead of time this was gonna be a disaster and they didn't prepare- this STINKS!

What a brilliant business strategy: Piss off 50,000 potential customers by making them wake up early and swear off ever visiting an LHW property forever.

Has the phone number listed on the page now, but as others mentioned the line's always busy.

Next they will put the snail mail address.

I just got to a place where it asked for my email, keyed it in and got a 'bad response' error. Sigh
