I can confirm I just returned a car after one rental day for $5.. paid $4 to top off the tank! If they really wanted people to rent for more than one day they could have a minimum of 2 nights (most weekend coupon codes have min of 3 nights, so even 2 nights would have meant some real money for Hertz). In any case, I'm not looking a gift horse in the mouth.... hope everyone else has no problems. I'm still sticking with National for my paid rentals |

I can also confirm the a) confusion by employees and b) final price ($3.50) after returning the car. Everything went smoothly and was able to flog a Ford Fusion for a day for the price of a quarter pounder with cheese. I've got another reservation coming up in a couple of weeks and am looking forward to another free joy ride. |

Sounds to me, that now you can redeem this offer more than once per month? |

Ok, I think I figured it out: There are two versions of T&C for this special offer. Whenever I access the Hertz website, I am automatically switched to the german version of the website (since I am in Germany). Although the special offer is displayed completely in English, the T&C displayed differs in wording and does not have the limitation of once per month. Also the prices quoted (US$5-7), include CDW and LIS without any surchages (by german law, any rental car contract booked in Germany for national or international travel must include CDW+LIS). When I manually switch residency to "United States" the T&C version including the limitation is displayed, and the same prices quoted do not include CDW+LIS. Question now is, which T&C are valid for my reservations? What a mess! |

hmmm I tried Hertz and the cost was 221.76 USD using (PC # 127595) for mid-size car & 175.68 USD using (PC # 104182). Went to Hotwire to compare, their price is $235 90 so I'd say shop around (this quote was for Christmas day 8pm-Sun 8pm; impromptu trip; headed to Tahoe |

Oh please, another reason for me to not like Texas people, comments like this. |

This might prove to be useful - I just got into an accident. While it was the other guy's fault, I'm all for paying as little as I can out of my own pocket. But if it's dead...sucks. |

I told him I thought I had to pay taxes + fees (at time of reservation on-line, it showed $3.20 due), but he said he has not seen it charge anyone for tax + fees that has used it here. Obviously, YMMV. Thanks again OP! I'm going to set up another weekend day soon. |

Just booked another day for $4 total. The first was under my wife's name, this one is for me. However, I wonder how they are going to track the one redemption per month? For those that use Gold service I guess it could be easy, but for others, are they probably keying on driver's license? I doubt their reservation system is smart enough to know that someone is not eligible to use the promotion again. And what does 'month' mean -- calendar month, or once every 30 days? I wonder if that's in there just as a way out if someone goes crazy and they really don't enforce it. |

My first 3 days in Vegas - almost Free with this promo. I am traveling with 2 people - so each booked 1 day. The airport is very close to our timeshare, the inconvenience is worth it of making a stop by the airport. |
