I booked a large-sized car in December and only had to pay $40 at the counter to upgrade to a luxury rental (MB C300) for the day. It depends on what cars are available on the lot so YMMV. Good deal. |

Pauravi said:Midmod - Just booked 2 weekend days using above link and total for each came to $7.50 with taxes. This is insane. I think you're limited to driving to yours and adjacent states, but since Texas is 25% larger than France this isn't a big constraint for me.
Can you please tell me which location in Texas worked for you while booking. I tried to book in Houston but not able to get the deal price. Thanks Me 2 in Houston. IAH was no go. Found it, just look around and there are places where it works. |

Has anyone tried to book for more than once a month? For example, book a car on Friday return on Sat, then book a car for Sat and return on sun? Or even book the second car the following weekend? |

Told my buddy about this... He always hears about my great FW deals but rarely gets in. He lives back in TX where I am from... called him back, and told him theres a rent car waiting on him at the local airport. He called back a few hours later laughing and telling me he is in a 2009 Camry for $3.20. He and his family decided to make a run to Dallas for the evening (~300 miles roundtrip). Thanks OP! |

I need a car for 3 days next week, so quoted using the coupon and it was $168. Then I went to Priceline, and ended up with hertz, same dates, for $70 including taxes for same economy size car. Thanks anyways OP! |

As far as in line with this deal, I upgraded to a 4WD (Kia Sorento) for about $16 using the free weekend day deal the past weekend. Outside of that, I don't know of any way to score a good price. FWIW |

Works extremely well at Nashville Airport. Lovin' the fact that the weekend period begins on Thursday at noon. Fully loaded, brand new 2009 Mercury Sable Premier with leather, moonroof, heated seats, navigation, and satellite radio -- $12.28 HINT: Use AAA as your CDP, and satellite radio becomes half-price ($2.50). Add it to your reservation, and you will usually get a MUCH nicer car than you would otherwise! I'm often upgraded free from my fullsize reservations to cars like the Lincoln LS V8, Cadillac DTS, Toyota Avalon, and Lincoln MKZ -- and all just because they had no other cars with satellite radio available. |

Good tip on the possible upgrade. |
