Going up to NYC in a couple of weeks and wanted to see if anyone had good strategies for parking your car in the city for 3-4 days. Obviously, people will say don't drive but have no choice. Does anyone have any suggestions for garages that are cheap for holding the car in for days. Is there a cheaper place outside of the city that is easy to get to? I will be leaving the car in the garage for the entire visit. Suggestions? Thanks in advance.
You say you "have no choice" about parking the car in the city, then ask about leaving it outside the city, then say it will be parked the whole time (not used). Why even consider parking it in the city? Find a park and ride lot in Jersey and take the train in. Any option in new jersey will likely be considerably cheaper than Manhattan.
....and tell us the results of your research so far. I don't think researching this would be hard using the internet.

Try primospot.com that will tell you the parking regulations around where you will be.
nothing beats free. find a street thats close to where you're staying and move it every morning at 7am! you'll want to be up that early to maximize your visit anyways =P
This was covered before but I could not find the thread. I believe there is a parking garage not far from the Queensboro bridge just outside Manhattan. It maybe near the Metro station at Queensboro Plaza. I parked there once for three days, walked to the subway station, stayed in the city. Sorry I can not provide more detail. M is near Crescent and Queens Blvd.
