My guess is that the $50 will follow along the same terms as their Bonus Cash does. Something like "$10/night up to $50" and a minimum 2 night stay. Whatever it is, I'm definitely going to take advantage of it ... but I'm not getting my hopes up for an amazing no-rules $50! |

Direct Message on Twitter is like a PM on here. I've never used Priceline before but I'm wondering how reliable they will be to book a trip for me if they can't even get this right. How hard is it to send a coupon out... geez. |

2 people over at SD have reported that they've (finally) received the coupon, and that it's $50 off a 3-night minimum stay. |

It says it when you try to book the room. That blows. Gets you excited to go, then you find the restrictions. I'm headed out for a trip. If I can find a room about $50, I'll extend it a night. Just irritating to find that it's not what they appear to promise. Still, thanks OP! bonus rules & restrictions Save up to $50 on your purchase. * You must complete your hotel stay by December 31, 2009 * Valid for 3-star or better hotels * Valid for Name Your Own Price(R) hotels * Hotel stay must be reserved by May 31, 2009. * Minimum length of stay: 3 nights |

Don't forget the 3-star minimum requirement. That's the real killer. Very misleading promotion. |

vapno said:Don't forget the 3-star minimum requirement. That's the real killer. Very misleading promotion. I have to agree and say it is pretty much BS. Really, when they advertise a $50 "coupon" they can do whatever they want, but to give you a month to use a 3 star minimum, 3 night stay coupon is bs because one night will be more than $50 with taxes and fees. I for one am not going to use it because I feel a little gypped with this. I won't write an email, or get mad, maybe someone has a trip they were already planning, but for a company to pull this bait-and-switch (referenced from above) type promotion is disrespectful. Edit: I also added him to my blocked list on twitter just to show my dissatisfaction with the whole thing. |

The 3 star thing doesn't bother me a bit. When the ratings are inflated anyway, then < 3 stars = shady. The 3 night stay is a slight buzzkill ... I was really hoping for a 2 night restriction. Regardless, it's still a great deal and I'm going to take full advantage of it in 2 weeks! Thanks again to the OP for bringing this deal to FW. |
