I needed to rent a car and was just was looking through Avis and found some stackable deals in their newsletter. Depending on the city you can get up to 25% off (I averaged more around 20%) and a free day or upgrade. I found some cheaper car rentals through some of the budget sites (thrifty, Enterprise, Budget) but this is a good deal for Avis.

Wale, Really? I've used the code to book a few rentals and it's always been around the 20% mark for me plus now the coupon (who knows how long until they catch it). Make sure you put the code in the AWD field not the coupon code field. I just checked for the dates and location you mentioned and I'm showing the discount
Here's what I'm showing, although I cut out some stuff like addresses to save space. This is the same price as no code... other codes increased the cost

Thanks, OP. I'm going to be needed a 6 month rental come Sept so I checked this out. Here is an estimate but what I wanted to share was the "note"(I get the same note with the MUCA061 code). It's odd of them to not include the discount in the estimate. If I were going to use it, I'd probably call them as with this online form, there's no way of knowing if you're getting the full 25% or, if not, what % discount you will get. Perhaps it depends on pickup location. Neoneye/Wale, your estimate total includes the discount? Thanks!

It's when adding a drop off in Las Vegas that the costs add up. Pls see my earlier post about DEN to LAS itinerary. I found the rate with this coupon elsewhere online, and some places were higher; nothing was lower.
Ha Wale you're killing me I just did several searches and here's my results - These don't include the coupon for free day or upgrade. I have snapfire on my browser so I can upload screenshots if you want.

Smile, The AWD code shows the discount instantly but the coupon code doesn't add until you rent (upgrade, free day, etc...)
I honestly thought this was a pretty good deal since Avis usually doesn't allow you to stack AWD codes with coupon codes. I travel quite a bit and I saved a nice chunk with this stack - looks like it does change with pick up location though.
I've found that discount codes are a lot of work, when you can usually get very competitive prices from Priceline. My $13/day bid was accepted for a full-size in Orlando (MCO) on 5/9-5/16. The attendant usually says "pick anything in row XX", which contains mostly full-size cars, but also plenty of minivans (I wonder why there are so many extra minivans in Orlando ? ). So the point is don't bother paying for a minivan upgrade, at least in Orlando.
these coupons work very well with my itinerary (7 days in Orlando): w/o coupon : 7 day compact car rental = $360+tax&Surcharges w/ coupon : 7 day compact car rental = $223+tax&Surcharges
However, I did a search on Hotwire. They offered a 7 day rental for only $150 incl. tax&Surcharges.
