This is quite an incredible deal. But I'm assuming I need to live in LA, NY, or SF to really take advantage of it. Since I don't, I would have to pay for a flight on another airline just to get me to and from that city. It would still be a good deal, but it could cost twice as much.
If I was already planning an international trip for this fall I would definitely be all over this.
Must book by June 28, this is hard for me to do and there will be penalty rate if I change travel date. It is very hot deal though.

I just booked a flight to fly between 10/22 to 10/31 without any problem. also booked 4 tickets for my cousin, from end of aug to early sep without any problem, too. all tickets are $579 per person included tax.
I have checked Cathay Pacific, didn't find discount online, but my travel agent in SF Chinatown offers $589 per each CX round trip ticket (not sure for the available Dates tho). if anyone want the phone# of my agent, just send PM to me.

I went to my travel agent's office to pay for my tickets today, and he mentioned that there is another lowe price offer for some date that is no longer available with the $579 fare from SQ and/or CX (sorry, can't remember). The price is about $100 more and this is not offered online. However, the hot season period would possibly still sold out at this price.
