My wife and I went on this with Smartours March/April 08 and had a good time. Professional tour group. Individual day tours are cash extra which was a nice feature. Would recommend this to anyone interested in Orient travel!
an elementary school in beijing just confirmed 7 H1N1 cases among 16 feverish students. do these tours usually offer full refund if things are really bad at the time of travel if canceled?
btw, the prices sound really good. just unsure of the quarantine if unlucky.

Don't quote on me but I don't think this kind of deal is refundable. Granted, the flu is one of the reasons I don't see myself in China this summer, though I was very temped to do so. Great deal though. Thanks OP!
Looks like a good deal if you have the time. I wouldn't worry about H1N1...it's been so hyped up in the media but it's no more dangerous than the regular flu from what I've read, just sensationalized.
What you should worry about is the measure the Chinese government is taking to cope with this virus. While it is true that it is probably no more dangerous than the regular flu, the Chinese government is taking extreme precautions to prevent travellers with elevated body temperature from entering into the country. Currently every passenger entering is scanned for temperature. If you happen to sit within a couple rows of someone with suspected H1N1 you will be quarantined a week regardless of whether you have a temperature. I was there a few weeks ago.

This is excellente price, too bad I hitting to Peru and Mexico. I would not care much abut H1N1, We took off to Hong Kong when they had (I forgot what they had, we paid 700 for 7 days)
