I will be in LAX from July 18 to Aug 2. will have 6 people (4 adults, 2 kids) so will need minivan size as full SUV is be somewhat of a cram. already searched through some well known sites such as Enterprise, Alamo, and their quote is to the roof (close to $2k), more than my R/T airfare from JFK.... any suggestions is greatly appreciated.
Airfare has absolutely nothing to do with car rental. I routinely pay far more for a car than for my cheapie DING flights. When you get around to posting those three quotes, we'll be happy to see what we can do to help.

There are no guarantees that the pricing I found on June 29 will remain stable.
