We are planning to go Disneyland and San diego from 7/13/2009 to 7/20/2009. We are 8 people (4 adults and 4 kids).

Need rental car from 7/13 to 7/21.

I can pickup car from San Jose, CA airport and surrounding locations (Zip Code 95014)

So far the cheapest I found is Toyota Rent a car -

FYI - minivans do not come with 8 seats. You will need a full size van that specifically states it has 8 seats.

Incorrect.

Toyota Siennas are listed (Alamo) as 8 passenger. Some rental companies (including Budget) offer a "full-size van" option, listed as 12-passenger. Both are listed as available for the rental period, but are very expensive ($8xx-$12xx).

I agree with the suggestion to consider two vehicles. You could rent two small cars and probably save quite a bit.

This topic is a good reminder that rental car rates generally do not drop as you get closer to your rental dates--IMHO you almost always get the best rates several weeks/months in advance, other than periodic "last-minute specials."
