EDIT: not sure but seems like similar deals are offered in other malls for local area attraction . visit http://www.premiumoutlets.com select your mall and then click sales and events .

Do we know if we can use the gift card outside the mall? I am traveling to San diego from the mid west this weekend - and this deal should come in handy

yes i purchased it and used it everywhere visa is accepted . you have to use it within one year to avoid maintenance charges .

If you like zoos, San Diego's is a good one. I'm sure Calif. can use the tourism, too!

the visa card like everybody said is accepted everywhere (i used it to buy shorts at a Nike Factory Outlet and also for dinner at a sushi place). the Carlsbad one is sold out. you'll need to travel to the San Ysidro Las Americas outlet next to the border. i got 2 there yesterday.
