We are arriving in Salt Lake City on July 14th with a car needed at 10 a.m. until our needed drop off time of 3:00 pm on July 28th. We need unlimited miles.

We will have two adults and 4 children ranging in ages from 2-11. Any vehicle that will seat all of us (legally ) is fine.

I have done searches using the codes found on this site and others and can not find anything less than $1200.

Alamo (premium crossover 6 seater) $1,428.73 total

I can use a mastercard or AMEX. I am also a member of Costco.

My dream budget is under $800, realistically under $1000 would be great.

We are minimal packers, so two large suitcases is fine with a backpack for each kid. The kids legs are short enough for us to put suitcases/backpacks under their legs at this point.

Hotwire wants almost 1500 for a van, more for the others.. I'd say at this point, book the Avis deal and keep looking but it's not sounding optimistic for meeting your dream goals. This is the down side of last minute travel planning. Sometimes it works to your advantage, but other times, not so much.

You are down to the wire here. I'd try bidding on PL- no recent bids listed on BFT to help you tho. Maybe Betterbidding has some. You can bid once a day. Have your spouse log on a different puter so you can both bid. Good luck and PLEASE keep us posted. Deals on minivans are scarce commodities lately.

Use SW code SW2358 for Dollar. I did this on the SW site which must be prepaid but it may work on Dollar's site.
