Might work but do you want to risk it. You just may get to the airport to check in and find your ticket is now void and you have to pay the full fare which will be even more than the discounted fare.
I'll just check in online to keep it all automated and not raise any suspicion. I prefer to check in online anyways because then it is more likely that I won't have to go through airport security inspection.

Just wanted to let you guys know, I just redeemed these for a vacation we have coming up and it was very simple to apply 4 vouchers for our tickets. The system allows you to have a voucher for each passanger. We were doing one-ways purchases, thanks again OP, you just saved me $100!!

On the other boards (DIS boards), there are many posters who have been successful booking their flights this way. Many have not flown yet, but no problem booking them.
Yes, I broke the cardinal rule: I called AirTran. I explained that the offer online said "one per email address" and then in the small print, "one voucher per passenger." The representative told me the "one per passenger" means "one per passenger per flight" and that I could book two separate times (one there and then one back for my fiancé and myself) and use a total of 4 vouchers as long as I had four different voucher codes.
So, I saved $100 total booking our airfare. And, if they would suddenly try to pull a switcharoo the airport on me (which I truly do not think will happen), I have a printout of my receipts and will be more than happy to contact my credit card company.
The only things that suck are that the only flight home that fits our schedule has a stop and we have to pay the "passenger facility charge", "September 11 Security Fee", and "Segment Fee" twice because we have to board a second plane. This is combined with the fact that they charge $6 per person to pick your seats (the planes were looking pretty full, so we opted for this expense to ensure we could sit near one another). But, their system messed up, I believe, and we were only charged $12 for the return flight home, even though we picked our seats on both planes. In any case, the base price of the tickets going down was $79 and coming home was $69 ... but we ended up paying $1.60 more for the cheaper tickets because of the stop-over resulting in double taxes/fees!
Oh well, at least we are only paying for one day at the Walt Disney World Resort. The other three nights at the moderate resort and three days of park-hopper tickets were complimentary due to problems we had this past summer! So, my fiancé will get to see Disney World decorated for Christmas like she has dreamed of for years!
Thanks, OP!
Edited to Add: Booked about two weeks ago and everything seems to have been charged as shown on my receipts, so far. We are travelling in November.

Never flown Airtran, but have good experiences thus far.
We bought $35 each way to Orlando from Milwakuee when they matched new service fairs of Southwest out of Milwaukee. At the time the $35 flights left in the PM and returned in the early AM. I felt I had 2 wasted travewl days, but I was OK with that b/c 4 RT tickets cost me $358. Fortunately both of those flights got cancelled/rescheduled so now we leave at 7 am and return at 5;30 PM so we get almost 2 bonus days to do cheap/free stuff at DisneyWorld
Still no ill side effects from booking two separate flights to use a total of 4 vouchers.
Also, they moved up our return home flight by 15 minutes and I received an email to accept the change or not. I called in and was able to switch to a more expensive flight free of charge. First flight had a 4 hour layover int Atlanta, GA. It originally left Orlando at 10:02 am, hit GA at 11:32 AM, took off around 3:30 pm and arrived in Pittsburgh, PA at around 5:10 pm. They changed the flight to leave from Orlando at 9:45 am.
They had another flight that was non-stop, departing at the same 10:02 am time and arriving in Pittsburgh at 11:21 am or so.
I didn't think they'd let me switch for a 15 minute difference ... was happy when they did!
So, now both flights (there and back) are both non-stop!
Can't wait to see Disney World decorated for Christmas.
