Patel Bhai: I have a question about the baggage policy. I see a lot of confusion between agent and airline. I have a return ticket by United flying SHV-DEL and back. Flights from Delhi to Houston are on Lufthansa but codeshared to United with United flight numbers. United operates only the IAH-SHV sector. Whose baggage allowance rule applies?
funnie99 said: Thanks Patel bhai. United comes out to be $2032 pp. Should I wait? You need to contact travel agent and Travel Agent can do manual booking with various routes, then your price will come down..

Thank you Patel Bhai. The ticket was indeed issued by United.
I am planing to travel from Boston,USA to Hyderabad,India leaving on June 28,2013 and returning on July 19,2013. Right now, i am seeing price range above 2000$..Do you think i should wait for some more time?
I'm planning to fly with my family (With 2yr Kid )from Jax (jacksonville FL) to Visakhapatnam (VTZ) on 2nd Aug to 17th Aug. I'm flexible to any airlines with 2 check-in bags and no long waits in Bombay\Hyd on both ways. Last time I flew via JAX--ATL--Dubai--VTZ. I liked this route as as the baggage check out is at my destination and the route is very convenient. But I'm finding hard time to get the same route on return. For return I have to go to Bombay with all my bags and stay there for 10+ hrs. With kid and baggage that route doesn't seem any comfort. Do you suggest any options with my requirement.
I'm shopping for four tickets from Dallas to Hyd departing in the last week of June and returning in the first week of August. I got a quote of $1525 per ticket on United Airlines from one of the agents. Is this is a good price? Or should I wait a little longer?
I'm planning to travel from SFO->DEL/BOM during year-end holidays ( departure around Dec 10th, return about Jan 5th). Is it a good time to book or should I wait couple more months?

Is it a good time to book or should I wait couple more months? Thanks Dec 10th and Jan 5th, belongs to high season, but before that season, there is already one high season currently pending (which is June-July-August 2013), so I will suggest you to first get current high season over, and then airline will focus on prices for your season, so I will suggest you to wait for some time, but do not do too late also. Meanwhile, if there is any price mistake or system malfunction, then I will definitely suggest you to jump on it. Thanks
Currently, Lufthansa_ United_Airlines is giving round trip around $750 price including taxes for December and November month departure for Chicago to Mumbai. I believe, something is wrong, as (1) generally taxes itself are around $600 to $650, plus even this price is not showing for JFK or other airports.(2) Generally oneway ticket price costs $700, and here round trip is around $750.
So if you are looking for this airports ticket, then I suggest you to jump on it.
This is really a good fare, It even prices out for one way coming around 420$ in SWISS or Air Canada. Good find Patel Bhai !! PatelForIndia said: Possible Price Mistake

BTW - There is another fare available from BOM - IAD round trip in Saudi Arabian airlines for 861$. sample dates are 7/26 - 1/16. One way they have it for 518$. I did travel with them, I would say its ok.. in some forums they do have nightmare reviews... They do have long layovers at Jedah, but they provide meal voucher, and its a small eatery place where you have to get the food. I did use their lounge which was about 28$ and it was pretty decent.
Patelji, looking for tips / sample fares for july 26th departure and Aug 16 arrival. SFO to Hyd. But can go from any city in US to Hyd or from SFO to any city in India. Regards, RV
What is the optimum price we are looking at if the dates are jul 26 and aug 16. sfo to hyd ? flexible to leave from any city in US or land in any City in India.

It is kind of too late for this travel dates to get lower fare for direct flight to Hyderabad, so in that case, you can get United Airlines with partner airlines for around $16xx to $18xx range based on date flexibility.
MoreDealsPlease said: PatelForIndia said: MoreDealsPlease said: Patel Bhai, any information about lower fare by Emirates_. I am looking at SHV to DEL but will fly out of IAH or DFW if fare is good. My plan is to leave in last week of May and back in first week of July. My search currently shows fares ~1450 from SHV, ~1350 from DFW and ~1200 from IAH, for a family of four. Thanks in advance. If Emirates_ charging $14xx from SHV for May End then it's worth and considered good price, as generally if you compare other airlines price, I doubt you will get $14xx from SHV for May end, as it's summer vacation demanded travel season...so for this price range, I will suggest to wait any further...
Thanks Patel bhai. The prices I quoted were all other airlines or a combination of two with 3 stops etc. I was just wondering if Emirates is going to get any lower or will stay out of reach in the ~1750s from IAH to DEL.
Finally Emirates reduced their prices for end May, early June. So if anyone is still looking this late, you might want to check them out.
Patelji ! I just want to know if we want to fly to India in May and coming back in August 1st week, how many months advance we should book a ticket, I mean in which month? Thank you !

Generally May month has two pricing level. Till Mid May travel, you can get cheap prices, which is year's lowest price range, and this tickets can be booked 1-2 months in advance. For After mid May month travel, price starts increasing (generally around 19-22 May onwards travel date), and for this date range travel, you can buy ticket 3-4 months in advance due to demand.

So if anyone is still looking this late, you might want to check them out. This is _Emirates Sales Tactics, Till last moment, they sale tickets at higher price by thinking collect whatever more money they can collect from passenger, who has desire to travel ONLY in Emirates, and at the end of the season when they find that, their flights are not full and they reduces prices of flights which has not filled yet. In this whole scenario, those passenger who purchased ticket earlier at higher price gets shock and calls to us, complaining that, "I paid too much, and now prices went down... Can you please get me difference amount back..."

LOL, I agree with you but seems like these tactics have backfired this year. Getting $974 total for IAH to DEL and back, end May to Early July now !!! Of course I bought mine at $1311!!! Maybe will wait longer next year, I don't know.
What is the best time to get the best deal on Cathay/Singapore/Lufthansa/Emirates for travel in early Sept and return in early Dec. Can you suggest me. Also what is the average best deal for travel in these times.
