Has anyone tried this yet? I usually book one-way flights because I fly to orange county and fly back home out of lax. I can't book roundtrips like that. Anyone know if you book a roundtrip and then cancel to receive ticketless travel funds to use on any future flight without losing the $20 promo?

Uh mistercheap why are you being a dick? I read the rules and the rules do not answer the question which is why I am asking people on the forum if they have tried this and then ended up canceling or changing their flight. With southwest, when you cancel or don't go on a flight you get credit back. My question simply is do you get the credit including the $20 promo. I'll even quote your dam rules
It simply states "Changes made to the itinerary after purchase may eliminate qualifications for this promotion." Keyword being "MAY" which results in the question do they or do not give you the $20 as ticketless travel funds. I even specified why I am asking the question in the first place. I'm not trying to game the promotion. I am simply trying to get the promotion to work for my case and
If you are so into finding hot deals and helping people, then don't flame questions and responses when you own post doesn't clearly explain it. If you don't know or simply don't understand my question, then move onto finding more deals for people on the forum.

ok, but realistically it's a gamble of 200 Coke points for anyone to find out if the "may" will kick in and you lose the $20 credit if you convert it to a OW ticket. sorry if I was harsh, but I doubt anyone knows yet since this just hit the deal boards in the last few days and most haven't had a chance to test out the rules if they did in fact have to change a reservation they made using the $20 credit. no hard feeling I hope.

I did use this and booked my MIL to visit us in FL in October. Then- the next day- I needed to change the dates only (same flights, days of week, not affected by blackout dates, same price tickets, all within all the booking rules, etc.) - I called to ask how the "May" worked. The CSR thought that of course there would be a way to save the credit - she spent 20-30 minutes trying to find out how to do it and worked it up two levels above her - and found out there was no way to save the $20 credit - I suggested they need to change the wording - that I was disappointed in Southwest since they are usually very forthright and easy to do business with. It should simply say "Changes void the credit." - she agreed. I wrote an email and got an email back saying they would respond in 7 to 30 days- that was August 25. I went ahead and spent another 200 points to re-book Mom. So its 400 points to save $20 - not as good but something is better than nothing.

Used it the past week on a round trip. good deal. actually this could be worth more than $20. I booked for 2 people and it deducted $20 for each person. make it a $40 saving!

Thanks so much for this info. I noticed when i used the code for 2 people, the saving was 21.5 per person, but 3 or 4 people, the rate went up a little so the savings was 13.5 per person.
