Guys,

I am not usually the one to post in travel deals but I gotta tell you guys. Awesome is the only word I can use to describe my recent excursion into Mexico. I had been to this place once before so I kinda some fond memories already but this time we had moved out of Arizona & I wanted to take my AWD Forester incase there were any instances where I got to explore the car's prowess & trust me there are many. Anyways to make a long story short we drove 14 hrs from Sacramento to get there. Ideal place to cross the border is from Luckeville, AZ although on our way there we crossed from Mexicalli - little scary but a great experience in itself.

The deal is for any one of the Sonoron properties. I paid about $350 including everything for a 2 BD fully furnished condo ON THE OCEAN! I mean you step our into the balcony/patio & the warm air hits you....O MAH GAWD!! the ocean itself is warm, the locals are great if you are into the touring the local neighbourhoods. Certain precautions that apply for Mexico in general should be observed, stay under the radar etc. But overall a great great fun adventure. ATV's r like $15/hr & you can pretty much ride them whereever you want.

I used puerto-penasco.comwebsite for booking my reservations; actually I called them, Mona is the most knowledgable & gave me the deal for $350 when others were quoting $410. Anyways you probably got another good month of weather so if anyone is into this kind of stuff DO IT!. You won't regret it. You don't have to drive from whereever you are but you can fly into Phoenix & rent a car from there!!

Why the hell did you pay that much for a condo in Rocky Point in the SUMMER?

I hate to rain on your parade, but one can do MUCH better than that.

Seriously...the good weather there is from November thru April, unless you're into 112 degrees and Hurricane/Monsoon season.

How much did the local Sonoran Properties pay you to post here?

serious; the weather was awesome dude, no hurricane, monsoon. I priced a few other websites & this seemed to be a good deal; that's all mattered to me!! & no nobody paid me nothin but a good time in Rocky Point!!

agreed, it seems like a very high price for accom in Rocky Point.
however, since we are on the topic, anyone have any suggestions for more reasonably priced, nice places there?
was thinking of heading down there over Thanksgiving...

I just stayed in a 2 bedroom condo/hotel that was fully furnished, about 2 blocks from the beach for $79 a night for 3 nights over a weekend, so I think $350 is pretty expensive.

k, so you paid $79 x3 = ~$240 for 3 nights for 2 blocks out & I paid a $100 more for on the beach; guess what - that's totally worth it to me; to each their own so unless you can quote some names & #'s, let's not boast about our not so accomplishments & just spread the joy about this beautifull place!

I love Rocky Point. Tante, can you tell me where you stayed at in PP? I would love to find that deal. I have been down there about 5 times and have stayed at Sonoran Sun, Laos Del Mar and Las Palomas. I would LOVE to find a place for $79 a night for a 2 bedroom condo.
