Thanks for this tip -- it's easy to "watch" a 2 minute video while scanning FW threads!
By the way, following your second link (the shortcut) just took me to the video front page, it didn't let me skip ahead to the questions page. But the 2 minutes goes by quickly.
I love my Panasonic noise-reducing headphones, don't fly without them. $80 at Amazon, great purchase. I can't imagine that the Bose ones would be worth $200 more than I paid for the Panasonic.
Congratulations, you have earned 150 American Airlines AAdvantage® miles. The miles will be credited to your account within six to eight business weeks.

Thanks. I guess it set a cookie on my machine. I removed the link.

FYI- My miles from the Bose promo already posted. I think it took all of two days!
So they require that "All mileage vouchers must be redeemed by 11/14/2009," but after you sign up they tell you "The miles will be credited to your account within six to eight business weeks." If I'm reading that correctly, folks who sign up closer to Oct 14th may not even receive their miles before they expire. Hopefully the miles are credited as quickly as MLW20's, but it still seems unreasonable to give folks only 6 weeks or less to use these miles, especially if you are not trying to renew expiring miles.

From my understanding, the vouchers refer to some sort of certificate received at the store. You then use these vouchers for redeeming AA miles at this link: https://www.aa4miles.com/miles4bose/redeem.jsp. The deadline to redeem these vouchers (not the AA miles) is 11/14/2009.
More information in the terms and conditions: Earn a voucher for 350 American Airlines AAdvantage® miles when you visit a Bose retail store or Bose Airport Kiosk and participate in a demonstration of the QuietComfort® headphones. AAdvantage® miles can only be earned once per AAdvantage® account. The voucher will contain a deposit key code, which must be redeemed at www.aadvantagemilesforbose.com on or before the expiration date in order for AAdvantage® miles to be credited to an AAdvantage® account. Offer valid 9/30/09-10/14/09 while vouchers last.

Thanks for the info. That would make more sense so I hope you're right. It seemed to apply to the miles themselves because the redemption deadline appears under the video/150 miles offer as well.
I watched the video and went in for a demo at a Bose store two days ago, and now I see the miles have posted to my American Airlines frequent flyer account...so it only takes a day or two to show up in your account...and it looks like even if you did this promo last year (like I did) you can do it again this year and get miles again. Sweet!
Sorry, I've never done this before, but I'd like to know how your experience in the store was like. What did you have to do there? How long was it? Did they press you to buy stuff? And how do you get the voucher in the store? TIA!
The store experience is painless. They have you listen to a prerecorded presentation while wearing the headphones. Lasts about 2 minutes. Then the salesperson asks if you want to take one home today. I said "no" and that was the end of it. Then they give you a small paper voucher that contains a code that you enter and two days later, you got 350 miles.
pats3in4 - you can get back the 12k miles on your daughter's account by paying for it ..more details - http://www.aa.com/viewPromotionDetails.do?fileName=A0605_reaactivate.xml&repositoryName=PromotionContentRepository&itemDescriptor=PromotionContent
FYI, these points can still credit if the BOSE store clerk enters your AAdvantage # and name on their PC/System- even during the last minutes before the offer expires. In other words, we don't have to enter the code ourselves, especially if they run out of promotional codes at the store. Just ask them to punch in your info. It works!
The miles expired because we've been flying United (uggh, but great rates and lots of non-stops) the last few years when visiting family. If AA continues to offer non-competitive rates on the non-stops I want (stopovers with young kids = blah), then all of my family's miles will expire
