Hey Guys, So I'm planning a bachelorette weekend for mid-January 2010, and I have a couple questions that I hope someone who has recently been to either the Wynn or Bellagio buffets can answer. And I want this brunch in particular to be great because it will be the final meal before we leave Vegas and it's a special occasion, so I want to plan it well!
Here are my questions:
1. Does anyone know how long was the wait at either the Wynn or Bellagio buffet at around or after 2pm on Saturday or Sunday? Is the traffic much heavier on Sunday than it is on Saturday?
2. Which brunch buffet is better and which would you personally recommend? Or do you have a favorite brunch or breakfast buffet on the strip?
3. Favorite buffets in general, prices, offerings, what makes it your favorite, etc?
Yeah, it's a party of all girls, but we all love buffets and as I'm not exactly an expert on the topic (I've only been to 3: The Paris', The Bellagio's, and The Wynn's) I thoughgt I'd ask the Vegas experts here! Hope this sort of discussion is allowed in this forum! Thank you so much in advance!

The best one I have been to in Vegas is the Sterling Brunch at Bally's. Bally's is a dump, but this brunch is out of this world and it is in Bally's steakhouse so the setting is a little nicer. I know it has won numerous awards. You mentioned 2 pm, which would be too late, as the brunch runs from 9:30 till 2:30, and I believe the last seating is 1:30. Unlike most buffets in Vegas you can actually make reservations, here is the tn# (702) 967-7999, I believe it is in the $40 per person range.

According to the Las Vegas Advisor, which the brunch is from 9:30-2:30 and costs $84.95 a person.
I just had brunch buffet at Bellagio's last weekend (Saturday). We got there around 12:45-1:00PM, there was a line, but it moved pretty fast (15 mins wait). The food was ok...a bit overrated. The meats were a tad bit dry, the sea bass had no tasted, the desserts looked good but tasted mediocre. Sushi was limited.
Haven't tried dinner here yet, might be better.
P.S. - My opinion is in comparison with the brunch buffet at the Palace hotel in San Francisco, which IMHO is way better than what I had at Bellagio.

Yes sorry I just checked and it is $85 per person. When we went it was comped so I wasn't sure of the price which is why I said I believe it was around $40. Having learned the price, I will say if you are a buffet lover, and have a big appetite it is probably worth the price. The have everything imaginable, lobster, shrimp, caviar and they serve unlimited champagne. I am not a huge fan of buffets/brunches so I personally wouldn't pay that price for anything but it certainly is an experience.
We love the SPICE MARKET buffet at PH. And plan to go there 2 weekends from now. I wanted to know if anyone has successfully used the $5 off coupon available on couponmountain.com

I was just at the Wynn buffet on sunday and it was amazing. I think it was 47 w/ the unlimited momosas(sp). and worth every penny our service was awesome and the food was out of this world. We waited like 10 mins and were there at like noonish. They had basically everything you could want. and it was amazing. I plan on going there everytime I'm at vegas from now on.
As a Vegas local, I was quite impressed with the new "M Resort's" buffet. $25pp and includes alcohol. Unfortunately, the line was ~45 minutes long on saturday night.

From my experience the best deal for your dollar is the 2 for 1 station buffets coupons in the las vegas journal.. these coupons can be used for 50% off if your one person.. so I had dinner at Al Aliante for $8.50 w/ tax and dinner at Palace Station for like $4.50 w/ tax.. the Aliante is considered the good dinner and well liked and I would agree, a decent buffet or best buffet I had in vegas for my visit in september.. cause I never made it over to the top 10 one at M. Resort

Is that true of many 2 for 1 coupons? Going solo and hate to buy one of those coupon books and not be able to use most of them because they are mostly 2 for 1 deals....

Have no idea.. I only know it applies to the station casino's buffets or at least 2 of e'm.. cause I wasn't sure it was good for palace station until I saw someone used it just before I did
Whenever we're in Vegas, we don't miss the Sterling Brunch. It's only on Sundays, and is not to miss. Plan on spending 2-3 hours, and in not driving afterwards.
The champagne is either Mumm's or Perrier-Jouët. They routinely have rack of lamb, real sushi (not just the tuna and california rolls that are on the other buffets in town), caviar, snow crab, filet mignon, lobster, oysters, etc.
For a little less money:
The buffet at the hilton (slightly off the strip) is very good as well, with included Wine and Beer. The Wynn is actually only *ok*. I don't eat red meat or pork, so there really wasn't much there for me, which is incredibly surprising because most of the Vegas buffets have at least turkey bacon or turkey sausage (no casing) for breakfast. They do have huge shrimp and a nice dessert section.
I've never been to the Bellagio, so I'm not sure what their's is like.

I was very happy with lunch and supper at the Bellagio buffet. No weekend experience though. If you are staying at the Bellagio, try going to the Players Club desk and see if you can get line passes.
Lunch had less offerings than supper, but when I was there had chocolate covered strawberries........................
I did enjoy it greatly though. I have a big preference for Paris buffet just because of comfort in eating there numerous times. Their line in late morning is normally long but probably better in early afternoon. I THINK their special brunch menu only is on Sundays.
