I'm hoping to go to Vegas at the end of the month before my hubby deploys I've only seen ads for Luxor and Excalibur so far (circus is new to me). If we end up trying it I'll pop back in but I swear I've seen another post mentioning the buffet special. I thought someone posted their experiences. Ah well, maybe I can find it when I get to an actual computer.

seems like a waste of money. you could eat at one good/great buffet for $25-30 towards the middle of the day, assuming you actually pay full price for it, and just have that be your one meal for the day.
I hit the Excalibur buffet 3 times in one day last month, and it was pretty awful. The same food was there for lunch and dinner. I had better food at hometown buffet. I love to eat and this garbage made me hate buffets.

Agreed. You can go to The Buffet at Bellagio at 330PM and pay the lunch price (about $23), then wait 30 minutes and the dinner food will roll out at 4PM. Great price for great food. If you need something earlier in the day, pick-up a sandwich for $5. The Excalibur buffet is beyond horrible and not worth eating at more than once per lifetime, let alone twice or more in a single day.
I got in on the MGM promo.. all day buffet and room for 50 bucks or so.. It was pretty crappy as well..It was a 30-45 min wait for each meal..really not worth it other than breakfast.

i've had the mgm before and it wasn't as bad as what i was expecting. i've had the sahara before, tho, so most anything is better than that. buffet and room for $50 really can't be beat right now.
Did the MGM deal on our trip recently. Part of the room package, and we were excited to try it but wouldn't do it again.
Reasons: 1. Just too darn much food. Don't need three unlimited meals per day. 2. No variety, at least at MGM. Lunch and dinner very, very similar to each other, and almost identical each day. Food was OK; wouldn't have had any complaints if we had just gone once... 3. With all the great food options in Las Vegas, we felt we were missing out by eating in the same place every meal, every day. Sure, we could have punted on one meal, but that'd just be wasteful!
ps; I can't imagine having the need to abuse myself by doing this deal at Excalibur, or heaven forbid, Circus Circus.....
IMO, this is more about getting you to stay or return to the casino as mch as possible. With all the food options Vegas has to offer, who wants to eat at the same place for every meal in a given day? Perhaps these all-you-can-eat-all-day offers have more value at off-strip casinos when you have no plans to leave anyway. With that said, The Orleans was offering this for just over $20 for the day.
