I'm flying home to Los Angeles from the Middle East for Christmas basically:
Any time in December (well, before Christmas)
One way ticket
I can fly out of Tel Aviv or Amman
One adult
I'm applying to grad schools on the East Coast, so I thought, what the heck, I'll check the multi-city prices for a few days gap in my flights in and out of New York City. To my surprise these were the cheapest tickets!
I've never traveled within the US, to NYC for example

bottom line is I'm looking for the cheapest ticket home, but if i can do it and spend a day or two looking around NYC and visiting Yale (maybe Boston) all the better. I'm also applying to schools down south in Kentucky, North Carolina, and Georgia if for some reason a ticket to one of their airports is cheaper.

$783 is the cheapest I've found total going from Tel Aviv to NYC and then NYC to LAX 4 days later

Also can someone interpret this page for me?

http://www.aerosvit.ca/e_us/infox/faq/freebaggage.html

in the transatlantic flight section one part says 2 50lb bag allowance, and then right below it it says 1 50lb bag allowance...

is it one or two?

I've heard there are some really competent travel agents in Eretz Yisrael. Anyone who's smart enough to matriculate at Yale should be able to locate and use one.
