Florida Car Rental Discounts most providers! There are several really good car rental coupons and discounts specifically for Florida. Many of these can save you up to 75% off base rates. Discounts can vary by code and time of year.
Use contract ID: SUNPROMO for 15% off in Florda. Must pickup by 12/15/09. Use contract ID: 7014667 for 10% off in Florida. Must pickup by 12/15/09.
These came from Alamo emails. Have not had much luck with these though. You may be better off using other contract ID's. Worth trying though. You can also try the IG contract ID for last minute specials.
All codes are currently ongoing unless stated. Alamo, Avis and Budget codes can be combined with coupons.
Just ran a test for a trip in early March to Palm Beach. The Thrifty rate is a little higher than my corporate rate; difference is that mine gives 150 free miles per day, which is usually more than enough, while the Disney is unlimited. Also tried the Avis rate, which was not much different than AAA.

Thanks OP - am going to Fort Myers from Dec. 5th to Dec. 12th and renting a mid size. Saved a bundle. Did a price comparison:
Rates from company sites after taxes - no discounts:
Avis $596.47 Thrifty $561.07 Budget $576.46 Dollar $561.07 Enterprise $533.01 was the cheapest I found.
Using the codes mentioned:
Avis $221.96 Thrifty $204.16 Budget $325.60 Dollar $218.29
I booked with Avis and used the $30 coupon. Saved about $340 vs not using codes.
Thanks again!

Try the carrentalsavers link. It seems to work there.
Excellent deal with the Avis code in Florida. Had tried and booked using several other code/combos for various rental companies. This was the best! Thank you.

I have been using this for last 3 months to save 30-35% months.

Did you end up using the Budget codes? Do they require coupons or special ID upon pick-up of the rental?
For Alamo, to get the Best rate, I used Contract ID#7014627 (Costco) for 25% off and Coupon Code AD2123JMC for $30 off of my 5 day rental this week. I plan to use the Kiosk to check in so hopefully they don't need to know if I'm a Costco member. Visa Contract is 7014615 20% off, if I have any problems I'll use that instead.
I just reserved a car at the Orlando airport from National Car Rental. The rental period was for 3 days in March 2010. The rate I got (including everything) on Travelocity was $185. I used the code "Contract ID: 5004625" on National's website and the total dropped to $122. I even get to skip the counter and pick the car myself!

What's up with the car rental rates at PBI? The cheapest I've found, Advantage rent a car, is still $500 for 10 days Apr 24-May 4. Am I missing something--this sounds outrageously expensive! I have checked rates with carrentsaveers.com and Kayak, and haven't seen anything appreciably lower.

Advantage in MIA is nearly half price ($14 a day). Curious if anyone has used them recently.

I noticed that when I try to use the discount codes for Enterprise, they ask for a PIN #. I can't get the discount without the PIN. I tried to put the initials of the school...for instance, for the University of Texas code, I'll put in UTX for the pin but it doesn't work. I am leaving tomorrow and need to book this. Any ideas???? THX!!
