Hi I am looking for possible 5-7 days disneyland family package deals. Someone who I know had got great deals for disney package. She got $1700 for 4 people, 5 days park tickets, 4 night hotel stay with food.
Any information will help. the disneyworld website is very confusing!
I am flexible. I want to travel between Nov to the end of the year.
Thanks!

What research have you done? You need to show what you came up with for a package. There is an entire Disney thread about discount tickets, etc. The age of the family members can cause prices on tickets to go up. Kids (I believe but don't quote me on this) 9 and under are still considered children. Over 9 and you are an adult.

Chances are your friend either got a nontransferable PIN code- with which discount can vary but I got one last year and it was 40% OFF HOTEL ONLY (not dining or tickets). Also, this can't be combined with any other discount. No one knows for sure how you get PIN codes-

The other thing is they MIGHT have gone during free dining in the fall --which is when free dining is offered (believe this was over last month but once again don't quote me). They are having a stay 4 nights get 3 free but I don't know details. Go to the Disney site and price packages...click on specials and anything will come up that is valid for your dates.

Another site to check is www.mousesavers.com or www.disboards.com

Update and you might get help but an effort is needed as we don't plan trips.

1. Figure out the difference between Disneyland and Disneyworld.
2. Ask "Someone who I know" where they got their great deal.
3. Read the FAQ, stickies, and older posts here.

Oh sorry for the "not detailed" posting. I am very confused about the stupid deals (like they have 5 - 10 deals for you to chose from on the disney world website). I have two kids: 6 and 8. So they are still considered as "kids". I want to get the deals where you can get food, hotel and park admission (everyday). The someone who I know about the deal, she said her husband found it. And she has no clue where he got the deal from.
Anyhow, I will check the previous posting and see if I can get something out of it.
Thanks again!

Timing for disney trips is important. This is coming into the very busy holiday season. Jan-Feb always has feel people and great deals. If you can be more flexible on times, you can snag better deals starting early next year before spring breaks start.

And at Disney, kids with single digit ages are kids, 10 and up is adult.

I owe my wife another disney trip. But I will never ever go again during peak. (went after christmas last year). some parks were ok early on. (magic K, epcot,) but the other 2 we almost completly missed due to the sea's of people.

Sounds like your friend got the disney dining deal, which is now over. You can get some hotel deals on site, but not as good as a month ago. At this point, I would suggest booking flight separately and doing a value resort at $$60-75/night ($500 for 7 nights), then add 5 day hoppers for each guest (Under $1100 at www.undercovertourist.com). Total is under $1600 and you're on-site. You can save $300 by staying off-site....lotta empty hotels Dec 1-15....I am reserved at Fort Wilderness Nov 29-Dec 5 for $39/night and almost cancelled and booked an off-site hotel for $28 (Comfort Inn LBV).

Almost forgot - if you go off-site, you can book 4-star hotels like the Rosen in Celebration or Hyatt Grand Cypress for the same price as Disney Value Resorts - they are available on Hotwire/Priceline; you can, with some research tell what you are booking.
