11/20 - 11/29 In and around: San Jose (within 4 hrs drive) # of people: 2 My girl friend is visiting me (in San Jose) and we have the whole thanksgiving week off. Could you guys please suggest some fun things to do and good places to visit in the northern california (within 4 hrs drive from San Jose). Some of the places we thought of are Brannan Island (Camping), Angel Island (near SFO), Santa Cruz. Not interested in Aquariums(Monterey), Beaches (as they're cold this time of year). Looking for more fun activities like biking, etc., nice restaurants. Please provide your valuable suggestions.
If you get there before thanksgiving weekend, supposedly the crowds are pretty quiet. Evening temps might push down to about freezing, but average daytime high is 55-60. On the downside, Tioga Pass Road will be closed and the backcountry will be pretty harsh. Valley should be nice, though.

Might be a little far but take a tour through wine country do some wine tastings.

If you guys like to snowboard check out Tahoe... maybe get a room out there
