Looking for flights only Dec 19 through Jan 2 or 3 from anywhere from SFO or LAX for 3 people to Australia. Budget is pretty limited so looking at around $1000 per person. I tried Virgin, Quantas and United and once I hit purchase or price it out, it jumps from $1300 to $3000-3500. I was thinking about using Priceline to offer a rate but warry that they will make us jump through hoops (multiple airports). I want something that is hassle free.
Unfortunately you missed a recent United Tware that would have fit your budget. I'm not quite sure what airports they would really make you jump through since SFO and LAX both fly directly to SYD.
