I am looking for info on Crested Butte lodging, particularly Elevation, Grand Lodge or Mountaineer Square. This is probably directed at somebody living in the area or a recent visitor.

Travelling Dec 17-25, adult + 11 year old (skiing) and senior (non-skiing). Is the Grand Lodge a good choice, or should I pay extra for one of the other 2 options. I selected these 3 as want to be on the slopes or as close to as possible to ski in/ski out.

Found Grand Lodge for $154 per night for a king + sofa for all 3 of us (which will be cosy I know).

Sheould I look for lift passes somewhere other than the resort? Will be going directly from airport to lodging, and not hiring a car so stopping along the way is not practical, unless it is in Crested Butte village.

Any additional comments on skiing at Crested Butte will be welcome also, last time I was there was good few years ago and everything was arranged for me (Club Med). Only have a vague memory of what was where and much of that has changed I expect.

Thank you all in advance.

Vacation Rental by Owners

I used both of these for my upcoming trip to Utah. Hooked up a killer condo for 5 guys equipped with spa, grill and wireless. Check with the resort for pass deals. I scored 5 day passes for Brighton and saved $60.

Have fun and wear a helmet.
