I know that this will be old news to people in the travel industry or to those who are happy to spend the time required to keep up with the dedicated travel blogs, but I'm in neither category myself, and I would find this kind of info helpful if I were planning a trip to Europe in the next 2 months, so I'm posting this news article here.
Headline "British Airways strike: Passengers face seven days of walkouts More than half a million travellers to be hit by successive weekend walkouts, with the first beginning on 20 March"
Excerpt "Unite has called a series of strikes by up to 12,000 flight attendants, beginning with a three-day walkout on 20 March and then a four-day stoppage from 27 March. Further strike action will take place after 14 April if there is no deal by then, the union added."
British Airways has some of the highest paid flight attendants in the industry. They definitely should strike and cause massive disruptions. Maybe it'll garner more anti-union sentiment.
"Unions representing ground staff in the US, France and Germany have pledged their solidarity for the strike. When asked whether BA flights could be disrupted by action at US airports, US union leader James Hoffa said: "Whatever we have to do, we will do"."
"Meanwhile, a three-day strike by Air France cabin crew over working conditions has been planned for 28 March to coincide with Unite's action."
