I'm new to posting, and I posted a great deal (or what I think is a totally awesome deal), but I didnt read the tips in this thread first. I posted it late at night and it got no attention, should I repost? How does a post get highlighted as a good deal?
Hey tarmuk, is this the deal you are talking about?
If so, there's no need to post it again. Whether the deal is highlighted as a good deal depends on the traction it gets in the community. As the community votes deals green, the get more attention. As members reply, it bumps the deal to the top of the page (assuming filters are set to read most recent activity).
I think I saw compilation of Staples deals (not coupons, more like wiki on how to maximize your Staples deal). I use the searches and can't find the topic. Anyone knows what I'm talking about and have the link to the topic? If so I really appreciate if you can share that link (PM me or reply here since this is a question thread?)
There are a variety of reasons that a message would require approval if that is what you mean. Some topics require approval before a post can appear because the thread may be about a contentious subject or, for some forums, we might want to make sure a post is in the right place before we allow it go live. Another reason is that an automated helper catches a variety of things it wants us to double check before going live.
I haven't visited FW for a while. I usually find my TQ in the h=o=rn..matee page and then I got the new way (copy and paste) the link. Now I do not have any idea of how can i get them anymore. Please help!!!

Please post in the target thread or IM one of the two OPs for that thread.
jovoal said: I am unable to give green or red! Any ideas on why I can't?When you sent in a support ticket with that question, I answered it. You might want to check your ST history to see the response.
Good questions. The words under your avatar (custom titles) are usually either earned by appearing on the Leaderboard or they are given out by a mod for doing something special. The only animated avatar we have is the flag. And if you want to change your username, you will have to contact the mods via support ticket and request it. I hope that covers everything.
i love free stuff, but i have to give too much private information to the campaingn organizers. Could you please have the freebie poster add conditions to the post, making it clear that how i can be qualified to get free stuff. If the post puts it clear, I won't waste much time to join a campaign that requires me to give all my personal information. Thanks

ThanksSince our members are posting those in their own time, we really can't require that. I'm sure others have run into this issue as well. Perhaps you could PM some of the more established members in Free Stuff and ask how they have handled this in the past.
jaimerayford said: I con;t figure out how to post a new topic to a forum. Can you help? When you go into a forum page (like "Welcome" or "Hot Deals") look to the top on the right. You will see a "new topic" button. Click that and you should be good to go.
I want to ask a question about where is the best place to buy progressive eyeglasses. What would be the best forum to post that in? BTW, I have searched the forums and found questions about best place to buy glasses, but not specifically PROGRESSIVE glasses. Thanks!
austinHodge said: Is it appropriate to post a freebie to the "Free Stuff" forum that only applies to one city?
Heyaa! I believe YES! as long as its really and absolutely FREE! and yeah, I agree with VBMcGB (Staff), don't forget to include the details most especially where/which are it is applicable whether a website, city or etc. That way readers or other forum members would know right away what they're going to see/read about in your post. Aside from that, don't forget to check back on the rules to make sure you're not violating any rule in the forum where you are posting. I hope this reply helps!
